Lots of reading nightly and if you arent the greatest artist-you wont be looked down but she does expect a LOT so just be prepared to work hard and she will help you if you need anything. A good 200 level class to start with!

Love Granata, my favorite professor yet! She kept the class engaged with her Socratic teaching style, Which I liked more than lectures. She is relatable and creates good relationships with the students, and breaks the ice. She is entertaining, funny, warm, and makes the material interesting. Manageable workload, except the final project.

Professor Granata is one of the best and a very funny professor. She really cares about you and wants everyone to pass her class. She also helps you if you have trouble with the material that is covered within the classs. Participating and attendance is a huge grade.

Pros: If you get an A, no final exam for you. If you do what she told you to, you get at least an A-. A friendly professor who really wants you to get an A. Cons: Attendance affects your grade. Tests are hard. Lots of work to do.

I love Lisa! I don't care what anybody says, she is only strict because she has a high level of expectancy for her class. I admire that about her because she holds everyone in high regard. Her tests, yes they are hard, but she lets you use your notes!! She is giving you guys a free pass. Not only that, but she really does want you to pass.

If you take a night class, you will be there for the full 4 hours, period. 6 pm - 10 pm. Doesn't matter if you finish early, she will find something to do to keep you there. The tests were hard, so make sure you study and pay attention in class. She teaches by lecturing which is difficult for some. She was very fair with grading and expectations.

Do not take this course! this is the worst class ever. she checks attendence and never use textbook. she just reads ppt boring! you can not learn anything in class. it is way better to study with the ppt yourself. also the exams are damn hard... a lot of things to memorize. I would say again Do not take her class if you are not in Art major.

disorganized and frantic at times but she is an art teacher. you can pass in things late and improve things you got a bad grade on. The midterm and final are extremely long and tedious.

she's horrible. she puts everything online so you dont even need to go to class. then you drop 130 bucks on a book you never use. her quizzes/tests are ridiculous, but the big ones are open book. i dont recommend this class to ANYONE. it is miserable. she doesnt teach, she reads to you. DO NOT TAKE ART WITH HER.i promise you will regret it.

HORRIBLE teacher. Class was so boring, included sitting in the dark looking at pictures of artwork. The WORST class and teacher I had at Dean. One of my high school friends died and I had to miss class and she told me that it wasn't excused because that wasn't a good enough reason. WTF is that?

I have THE MOST work in Granata's class, and she teaches friggin art. She gives essays combined with almost every homeowrk assignment and gives a test everyweek. This class is too much.
