Lisa is hilarious and an amazing professor. Definitely take WRIT 185 if you are interested in film or you just want to improve your writing. She is super experienced and gives detailed feedback on all essays. Very flexible and understanding. Her chaotic energy is the best.

I found Lisa's lectures so very incredibly enjoyable. She's smart and funnya hilarious brainiac. Her course was just the right amount of challenging so I improved my writing without getting too stressed. 10/10 recommend WRIT 185 if you enjoy cinema.

Comment:

Hands down one of the best Professors at Wellesley. She will challenge you and motivate you at the same time: a balance that most teachers don't find. She made getting my thoughts on paper much easier and improved my writing. She is so caring and I love her so much. Really can't recommend a better teacher. Worth the work! You must take her class!

Went into it with already above average writing skills. She helped me improve even more, but in retrospect, the ratio of my writing improvement to the amount of stress/work makes me question if it was worth it. Definitely a great prof if you want to learn how to write well, but you get what you put into it. Was not expecting so much reading/work.

I had this professor for two English classes when I was at Wellesley from 1998 through 2002 and she was an excellent professor. I learned so much in her class and she was a true Mentor.

I would take a bullet for this lady. She is amazing. A tough little grader, but fair. Very helpful and a big fan of intelligent background. She went to Harvard Law and was a lawyer for a period, so it definitely makes her a very, very logical English teacher--despite the oxymoron.
