TAKE PROFESSOR RODGRIGUEZ!! He's a great professor, funny and very smart. Took him for fall semester during covid, I was very impressed. Goes over course material very clear and offers a lot of extra credit. Would 100% take him again. Learned a lot from him

Comment:

One of the BEST science professors I've ever had. There is no homework, but there are only lab and lecture exams so make sure you do well on the lecture exams. Pay attention to the powerpoints!!! He is very knowledgeable and breaks everything down in such a way that you will understand. I'd definitely take him again if needed!

He is truly amazing guys, im so happy chose Dr. Rodriguez. I took him in spring 2020, study the powerpoints they are the keys. what worked for me were flashcards. this is microbiology don't expect it to be easy, you have to work for your grade.

Great all around. Takes time to really break the lessons down and is always there if you need help. There is no homework so just tests and labs. I would definitely have him as a teacher again.

Professor Rodriguez was one of the best science professors I have ever had. Everyone of his lectures was enjoyable and we learned very useful information. He was very professional during the COVID 19 situation and made alot of changes to the course to make it less stressful on us. He loves what he teaches & it shows in his teaching & class averages

He's amazing. Micro labs were incredible. Dedicated and thorough professor. You will need to study to pass. Heavy memorization but necessary to build the foundation. He is top notch. Always to the bonus problems - they help you learn the material and bump your test grades.

Comment:

One of the best professors I've ever had! He is a hilarious person and very relatable. He is a very caring teacher and he shows it. This course was slightly hard for me and I even failed (F) my first test BUT with reading I got better. Towards the end you MUST read into the lab manual for your unknowns but as far as lecture goes he used powerpoint

This was the most challenging course I've taken but I really enjoyed coming to class. The lab was actually fun! DO NOT MISS CLASS! He gives 5 percent on top of your final overall average for attendance! Keep up on studying or you'll get behind. Oh and if you're going to nursing please go speak with him for any advising he really cares.

Comment:

Sincerely, Micro with Professor Rodriguez has been the most fulfilling course. Mr. Rodriguez delivers clarity, simplicity, and support to a seemingly difficult class. As long as you review/study regularly, an A is very realistic. He also offers extra credit per exam + attendance bonus. Overall a fun and interesting class and I HIGHLY recommend him.

Professor Rodriguez is awesome. I was never a person who understood a science class very well or at all but his way of teaching is amazing. Actually explains and you get what he's teaching. Make sure you study the notes he provides and you'll do fine. He drops lowest lecture exam.

Professor Rodriguez is AMAZING - my favorite professor ever. I feel like I actually learned something this semester instead of just memorizing content for tests. He makes his expectations crystal clear, and gives you the tools you need to succeed if you do the work.

Great professor! I highly recommend taking him if you're going into nursing. I enjoyed taking his class. He's very helpful, and keeps lectures interesting. Grades are based off five exams. STUDY HARD AND YOU WILL PASS!

If you want an easy class, don't take him. His class is no joke. He offers Friday morning review sessions before exams (which don't help in my opinion) and has course notes for each chapter (very useful). You'll have to memorize lab procedures to hundreds of diseases and their symptoms/treatments as your final. Your study skills will be challenged.

I really enjoyed this class. Labs are fun, and lectures are really interesting. He's very knowledgeable on the subject matter, and answers questions to make sure everyone understands. Study the lecture notes he provides, and you'll do fine.

Comment:

I've never met a professor that excels at incorporating different learning styles into his lessons as much as him. From taking the time to draw out the different shapes of each bacteria to clearly repeating and eloquently articulating its different functions, I'm sure you'll have absolutely no problem learning in this class. Plus, he's funny :)

I have never written a review before, but I felt the need to for the best professor I've ever had. Microbiology is never an easy class but Professor Rodriguez really does an incredible job to help his students understand. He is part of the the health advisers and I would highly recommend you take advantage of that. Very inspirational.

BEST professor ever! This class is seriously so hard but Im so glad I took it with him. He made it enjoyable and I actually learned and worked very hard for my grade! ATTEND CLASS! 5 points of your actual grade! Grades are all test and gives reviews for each one. He does give extra credit on test. and willing to work if you care about your grade
