A lot of students in this class texted the entire time and you could tell it got on Croatti?s nerves. He?ll eventually call you out on it so my advice is to put the phones away. If you're not prepared for your oral report, God help you. Otherwise, great lectures and lots of fun outside-the-classroom experiences.

Although Proffesor Croatti is strict, he puts forth a lot of effort in preparing for his lecture, and his assignments and field trips are very interesting. I did enjoy his class very much. Professor Croatti A+ teacher

Do the extra credit field trips all of them and you will do great in the class and they're alot of fun. He loves the Native Americans and can work them into any class and will. He likes to pick on students to so just keep your head low and you will be fine. The class isn't easy but do all the extra credit and you'll get an A.

A very interesting and engaging class; very insightful prof. His lectures are amazing and teach you things you only learn in class, not the book. You'll get an A if you go to the lectures, do the readings, the internship, and do a couple of the extra credit assignments.

Prof. Croati is a great lecturer and very knowledgeable of the subject matter. He is great at teaching topics with an independant point of view. I enjoyed the extra credit field trips to the embassies in D.C. However,he can be arrogant and unapproachable. He onced harrassed a student because her cell phone went off in class and she cried.

Croatti teaches similar topics (Native Americans, Kurds, etc.) in each class he teaches but tailors them to specific courses. He once took a week in 2003 (the 40th anniversary) to address JFK from all angles. He was voted Teacher of the Year by poli sci majors in 2006 because he provides extra credit and places students into internships in DC.

He makes the subjects interesting and you will want to learn more. His tests are straight out of the book and are easy if you study. He challenges students' assumptions often but not entirely without reason. EXCELLENT professor.

Croati is the best professer I've had. He isn't easy, but HE allows chances for extra credit. His class is incredably worth it, a wonderful experience. And he looks like George Clooney.

He’s a very intelligent man who knows what he’s talking about. He does pick sides of arguments, but presents the material with a very none bias approach. Goes a little bit off topic sometimes, but always is very interesting. Never a boring moment in his class. Take him, he’s very good. Lots of extra credit, which can boost you a letter grade.

AMAZING professor. Tests are somewhat confusing because the multiple choice is a bit ambiguous...but he gives plenty of extra credit. Although he is very liberal, he sheds light on both views. Funny. Interesting. Must take his class!!

Yeah, he has a heart attack if a cell phone goes off and takes students aside to chastise them, but definitely worth attending, even if it's mandatory, and he's quite helpful with internships, jobs and application letters. Embassy visits are great. He runs a tight ship, more like a cruise ship with stops at foreign ports.

Croatti is a great prof for most people. He is liberal and opinionated & can be abrasive. I've taken 2 of his classes & loved both. He knows everything & is so passionate about world politics. This class was on Iraq & presented from a worldly (not American) pov. Embassy visits in DC (with the actual ambassadors from Iraq & Syria) were a highlight.

by far my favorite polisci teacher...he loves what he does and it shows. i took three classes with him and loved each one. lots of extra credit...read the books and attend class. you won't regret his seemingly endless well of knowledge.

The way Professor Croatti comes across about the problems the nation is facing can be seen by some as abrasive, but I think he's just trying to drive the point home and make you think. He has a passion for problem-solving but he realizes that problems only get solved if people care.
