Mr. Clark! Bless this man and his shirts. I took stats with him in 2008ish and I am just getting around to sing his praises. I HATE math, but Mr. Clark made it fun and was always there when I needed help. Seriously, do yourself a favor and math with him. If he is the Mr. Clark I remember so fondly, you'll be glad you did.

The class was hard. If you miss a lecture, you miss a whole week (or at least it feels like it). Dr. Clark was very good at making sure you understood lecture and was a fair grader. Study study study! There were 3 exams and a final.

Professor Clark is a very nice and caring teacher. The class is very lecture heavy, but he makes things interesting. He is available for help and gives opportunities for extra credit. He does not give very much time for quizzes and tests, after first test all quizzes and tests are open book and open note.

Professor Clark is a very nice and caring teacher. His class is very lecture heavy, but he makes things interesting. He is available for help and gives opportunities for extra credit. He was a nice guy, but I found his lectures slow, and it took a long time to get to the point. He was a tough grader, and did not give enough time for quizzes and tests. His homework took a long time most of the time, 1-2 hours most of the time and one of the assignments took 5 hours to complete.

Mr. Clark is the best professor to take Statistics with. He will help you understand what you are doing, and if you don't understand it, he will help you even further. I went to his office hours on multiple occasions and he was always willing to help.

Comment:

Funny professor. Happy to answer any questions no matter how simple they seem. Quizzes & tests are timed but, do the HW and you'll be fine. Quizzes & tests are open note AFTER the first exam. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Quick to answer questions by email. Record his lectures! It helps when it came to the labs and HW. He is a tough grader!

He knows what hes doing and is willing to help anyone. Its a very hard subjet, if you dont go to class and pay attention and do the work you wont pass. I was close to droping the class but after talking to him and really studying I passed the last exam & passed the class with a C. He grades on curve and is very flexible.

Stats was by far the hardest thing I had to take and Matt was awesome. He has plenty of office hours all week, and lets you know in advance when he needs to cancel. He does offer extra credit and he does grade on a curve. Hes always there to help students, you just have to put in the time to go see him outside of class.

I actually had to retake his class. You really have to go everyday and take it seriously - or else you won't pass. Super chill and willing to help you outside of class. Homework, labs, and quizzes are what you'd expect but tests are so hard. you will have to put in HOURS of studying to finish in time and get a solid grade. Open note quizzes & tests

Your grade in this class depends on how hard you work. I was scared to take this class by reading the other reviews but it was def much easier than I thought ( like a usual math class) . The prof is pretty chill, a lot of hw, quizzes, 4 tests and then a cumulative final. Don't miss class. study well, you'll do well. Grades on a curve too.

Stats isn't that hard. It's just intimidating. You have to be confident with yourself and really study the homework. Clark can be a tough grader, but he is also very fair and gives a ton of extra credit opportunities, and a pretty big curve which means everyone should pass the class as long as you stick it out. Very nice and funny guy

This is my second attempt at this class with this professor. Matt Clark is a good teacher and lectures every minute he can to give us as many examples as possible. It was just the hardest thing I have ever had to study.

Comment:

Dr Clark is a pretty funny guy with his shirts with an assortment of puns and jokes. His lectures are alright and the labs are pretty interesting. However, his class is pretty tough; not impossible, but pretty tough. Be prepared to do tedious homework assignments and tests. My advice is read the book, do all the assignments, and form study groups

Professor Clark gave good lectures, but when it comes to quiz and exam times, although open note, there is not enough time to take the exams. Very frustrating. Open note is no help at all, because if you look something up, you wont' finish the exam. Very hard to pass, because of this alone.

Professor Clark is one of the best teachers I have had. He is knowledgable, humorous, and helpful. He likes participation in class and when students visit his office hours, so do not be shy! This material is not too difficult, though there are some concepts that require a bit more thinking. I highly recommend him!

Comment:

Very good professor super smart. Wants students to participate by thinking critically. It can be a bit confusing at times but you need to stick with it and study the material. Very short times for quizzes and tests. BE PREPARED BEFORE TEST. Willing to help. Strict grading. DO NOT MISS CLASS you will get behind. He reminds me of Santa Claus.
