KING, had him for a class on the Gilded Age which he knows an INSANE amount about, I went in going "Gilded Age?? Huh??" and now I'm convinced it's the most fascinating period of American History. Lots of reading, but it was varied and (almost) all interesting. Knowledgeable, asks good questions, funny in a dad way. Go to office hours!

I could not stand his teaching style. His classes are 100% discussion, 0% lecture. Very boring listening to students ramble for 70 minutes. The questions he presents to the class are vague. He never shares his own knowledge--a shame since he has like 4 degrees. Changed my major from AMST because I couldn't stand him to be my advisor.
