Great class. A little disorganized, but an extremely smart professor with an exhaustive knowledge of the field. Yes, sometimes he says things that aren't quite PC, but this is more to do with his somewhat awkward personality, than a desire to insult people. API302 is hard, but worth it for those who put in the work.

1st day he insulted me claiming that I (Black female Navy rocket scientist) lacked math skills. I didn't think our relationship could recover from his racial and gender bias. I was right. I respect him for his knowledge though.

Personally, he is imperious. The material does not fit into any one academic field, and is not sufficiently well-organized in either the lectures or readings to help students learn it. The canonical Harvard class with a famous professor who thinks all they have to do is be clever in lecture, and leaves actual teaching to TFs.

Not a nice man (at least in class). Arrogant, pushy, mean. Assigns inordinately time-consuming problem sets. The TFs were the very very best part of this class.
