She cares a lot about her students and is very passionate about the material she teaches. Sharyn is a great person, but get ready to fail if you don't agree politically. I have received very poor grades on opinion essays because I am not a far left liberal. She really cares but has a hard time when people don't agree with her.

Very kind and caring, always open and inclusive. She'll always be available outside of class. She chooses obscure memoirs and nonfiction for her textbooks and frequently makes you write several page papers on each chapter pretty much. Much of her courses are made around her opinion though, so get ready for a lot of left leaning material. Very kind.

Sharyn has been one of the most influential professors I have encountered. She truly cares about every student she encounters and every bit of information she teaches. She does a lot of group discussions and gives a decent amount of reading and responses for homework, but it was what I expected going into college.

Sharyn is the greatest! She is different but she has such great energy. Her personality is so large and so fun. She cares a great deal about her students. She really wants to push them and help to mold them into the great people she knows they can be. She gives kind-of a lot of work but her class is so great that it's totally worth it!

Very nice and helpful. Loves her stuendts but most found it very overwhelming and scary. Learn to love her! She will definitely go out of her way for you!

Sharyn cares about her students sooo much. At first she comes off VERY annoying but after awhile you grow to love her. She is always there is help you.. Def take a class with her.
