Comment:

Davenport is pretty chill and cool. But he tends not to follow or do the labs what-so-ever. This was the 2nd time I took this class, but Davenport was a different prof. then I had last time. So, I had the convenience of already doing the labs, and that was helpful. If you want to be taught from the textbook, and doing things on your own, take him.

Dont take this class unless youre prepared to learn all of the material by yourself. As a science class this was tough. Hes a nice professor but teaching wise he isnt that great. Get someone youll actually LEARN from. Not someone who just does whatever

If you have a good work ethic, take this professor. If you study all the review materials he gives you, you will pass! Labs are easy, just have to memorize them. You will have to teach yourself.

Mr. Davenport really cares about you and is very helpful throughout the class. He tells you what is on each test, and gives good reviews. If you study you will pass. I HIGHLY recommend taking him!!

All of you who complain on how difficult or boring this class is maybe should change the major. Yes , it is a hard class, yes you have to study. No,Professor Davenport does not cut open your brain to put some info inside . what he does is he teaches lots of difficult concepts that you have to acknowledge on your own at home!

I would not recommend Dr. Davenport. He is a very boring professor, tests are super hard, and he provides a ridiculous amount of notes. Be prepared to teach yourself.

He does not lecture the best but gives you PowerPoint's and practice questions. Lab book is a necessity and worth it to turn it in. Book will definitely make a difference in the grade you get as he sometimes lets you use the book for the test. Do the practice questions!

He's a really good teacher, covers what'll be on the test. He uploads powerpoint notes onto Canvas but doesn't follow them exactly. Would let us use our notes, book, etc on tests up until the end, that's when he decided to stop. Doesn't split the class time evenly, he uses the 2 1/2 hours for what he needs it for, it won't always be lab everyday.

Honestly, he talks a bit slow making it hard to focus during lectures. The great thing was that he wouldn't have us turn in the lab sheets for a grade and he would provide study guides for the tests. Tests were still difficult of course.

Let me be super specific. Hardest class ever, goes over powerpoints which can and can't be helpful. The beginning of the semester I felt he didnt care. HE DOES! He rewards you for staying in the class pass the final drop date. He wants to see you pass if you stay. Final exam is literally the jeopardy questions he gives you. JUST STUDY THAT!

A & P is not an easy class, u will get the grade that shows how will u study. This class IS NOT for those who do not have or make time to read,read, and study and study. Yes he does tell u exacatlly what is going to be on the test, but TRUST; he does change the questions around n can be confusing. GOOD LUCK.

MEMORIZE MEMORIZE MEMORIZE. You always know whats going to be on the tests. he will literally give you everything you need to study. Get ready to study though because you will need to memorize concepts of what he is teaching. Can crack jokes sometimes. Does not drop grades. you get what you get. but again gives you all your study material.

Great professor, great class! I would definitely recommend Davenport.Keeps you up to date on your grades. Many people say its hard but all you have to do is put time and study a lot!This class is A LOT of memorization. He gives you reviews which are pretty much like the test so if you do those you will pass. If you really want to pass A&P take him!

Professor Davenport tries to bring some humor to class, so that's a plus. But he doesn't "teach" very much. I was very worried about taking this class, but the test come straight from the study guides. Lots of memorization, so don't forget to study. I would most definitely take him again.

I highly recommend professor Davenport. His class is all powerpoints with no online assignments. His notes are very helpful and can be used for the assignments he gives you. His test always match his reviews %100. If you study the review and know it you can pass this class for sure. Just be warned lots of info but put in the time and you'll be fine
