Comment:

One of the best professors I had at The Boston Conservatory. Inspired me to try harder, seemed to really care about his students. Could be polarizing at times, but I am of the opinion that the people who had issues with his tactics were looking for easy praise and didnt think they should have to try so hard for an A.

Steve McConnell is a genius. pure and simple. Also, one of the funniest teachers I have ever had. doesn't bull&$%# you, gives you his no nonsense opinion about what you need to do to improve. Master Craftsman of the young actor's mind.

Steve was sometimes harsh sometimes soft. If he felt you really MEANT to be an actor/artist he would do everything he could to help you improve and find your aesthetic..However, if he felt you were attending the conservatory cause "acting is fun" or as a country club..you were doomed. Much of what he taught me I use everyday in my 25+ pro career.
