Professor Muir is an awesome instructor. She has a wonderful personality and interested in the progression of the students. She is flexible and provide excellent feedback on assignments. Class participation is crucial and the group project allow the students to interact with each other. I looked forward to the Saturday morning class.

I loved this class and I thought she was a pleasant person. There are four papers to be written but I didn't find them hard to write as I wrote them the night before/morning of and still got As and Bs. She gives great lectures and I really learned a lot. She is sweet and will work with you if you have any problems. would def taker her again.

Wonderful teacher and very pleasant! I'm not sure what homeboy's deal is below, but I thought she was fantastic. The only way you could possibly leave out of that class bitter is if you didn't show up, if you plagiarized, or were just downright lazy. Professor Muir has to be one of my top 5 favorite teachers at Chaffey.

The only way you can come out hating this class is if you put in absolutely no effort or just decide not to show up. Likes doing group projects which can help your grade. Pleasant and willing to work with you. If you're willing to meet her halfway, she's more than happy to meet you the rest. Just wants you take a something away with you and pass.

This was the worst professor I have taken for English at chaffey. She has her favorites I sat next to an A student and he just copied and pasted a lot of the work and kissed up to her. She insults students work and is very grumpy makes you feel stupid. 4 essays and a final of 8 pages a lot of reading and group work. Harsh grader on essays.

Although it wasn't a hard class, it wasn't too easy either. I was only motivated to wake up early on Saturday mornings to see the cute guy I sat next to. You WILL do a lot of group work, so if you're an introvert like me, keep that in mind. She doesn't offer much extra credit, but if she does, DO IT. You don't get to see your grade until the end.

Friday night class. Three hour class. Only kept us for about an hour though. Has good intentions but she was always ill and it felt that it got in the way of her being able to teach more clearly. Good class overall, took it with my gf haha. Tough grader but she does care. Just be prepared to back your arguments up. Easily able to be contacted.

muir is the best! shes organized, friendly, smart and funny! she makes it easy for you to get an A! just do your part and she'll help you. i took her on monday nights for a 3 hour class and time always flew by! shes awesome and very very approachable. class is new every day and she keeps it interesting and gives you everything you need to suceed

this class was one of my favorites at chaffey. she is wonderful and really made class enjoyable! citations citations citations theyre very important! i truly feel like my writing improved in her class and i loved her assignments! i truly had fun writing them. its a really comfortable small class so its easy to relax and do good. id take her again!

LOVED ms muir! class only consists of 3 papers, one book with little assignments and shes a fair grader. biggest thing is citations in papers! we always got out early and she was really helpful. english 1B was a breeze thanks to her and her class. she also offers extra credit and allows a revision on a paper. take ms muir!

She's quirky, but will help if you ask. There's a ton of work in the beginning but levels off towards the end of the semester. Very particular about citing/references. Three claim papers (2 are over 5+ pages), summary writing. Careful though, you can drown in the work if you dont keep up! I still dont know how I can an A-, but I wont complain!

As long as you go to class and keep up on the readings, you will do fine. She has no problem helping you in class or through e-mails. She even lets you re-write your assignments and gives good notes on them. If you follow her notes you will do great in the class. (And I HATE English)

This class is a break from the usual English classes. We read short stories and analyse them in class, write a few summarys, and one term paper. Tests are little hard but the rest of the work makes up for it. She has a very funny laugh! I appreciated her knowledge in literature and actually learned something. Great teacher.
