Can't really say too much as professor Helfand really didn't teach much. I feel these online classes even before COVID were a bit much for these professors to utilize. Even so, I had very little contact with this professor. I'm sure she's a good teacher in person. Do the discussions and the small assignments she gives and you'll pass.

Comment:

Terri is a good instructor. She is very responsive when you have concerns, questions, or problems. This is my second semester taking her despite of the negative reviews on this website. There is a lot of work you need to do, so stay on top of it each week. I recommend you check your Canvas twice a day so you don't miss anything. I recommend her.

Prof Helfand will not give you even a small break. Lazy professor, everything is from Cengage including the assigns/quizzes. Easy to pass the class, but if you turn something in 2 minutes past the deadline she will mark you down. She will also not accept a late assignment that if she just gave 1 point on, your grade could be rounded up. DO NOT TAKE

Class has a lot of homework without any actual lessons, you really could get the book and learn on your own. I have never had such a rude teacher. Don't email her, you're only interrupting her afternoon.

Terri is the most inconsiderate professor i have ever had. She gives way too much homework and it is due in such a short period of time that it is unjustifiable for a 1.5 unit class. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. She just assigns work and doesn't even grade it herself as it is the work is graded by the program.

This professor will assign homework off of the online resources provided ONLY and does not create her own homework. A lot of the stuff she uses is WILDLY outdated as well as redundant and pointless. She has no problem with giving out 8 assignments a week because they're automatically graded. It really seems like she doesn't even care what happens.

This teacher won't accept any late work or offer any extra credit. She is very rude through email and won't communicate. Overall, I think she gives to much work for a 1.5 unit class and is strict with grades.

I had no complaints with the professor however, there were WAY too many assignments for a 1.5 unit class. I've taken 3-5 Unit classes that didn't have as much work as this class. Most of what we learned is outdated or common knowledge. Easy A, tedious assignments though.

Do not take her class if you planning on doing it fast track, she don't tell you what due until last min, wayyyyyy too much project to do in such a short amount of time (they're not hard, but just long and dry), doesn't really teach in class, I literally learn cis through the homework.

It was an easy enough class, some instructions could be confusing, but if you asked for help she gave it. You were expected to read 100+ pages per chapter, but didn't really need to to do the work or pass the 2 tests. It was a lot of assignments, much more than I was expecting for a 1.5 credit fast track class but the work was easy enough.

She's is helpful enough if she wasn't clear to begin with, but try not to ask a question unless you really don't know, she could be a tad rude. Homework isn't too hard or too much. Answers emails pretty quick. I took her online classes so I'm not sure what she's like in the classroom.
