Vern is really awesome. Seems kind of awkward at first, but once you get to know him (and make an effort to really get to know him, you won't regret it) you'll realize he's a really cool dude. He's into what he teaches and he's not nearly as intimidating as he seems at first. He'll happily give you an extension if you ask for one, too!

I did not find Prof. Shetley's class particularly useful. It's obvious that he's quite intelligent, but he has an unapproachable and somewhat pretentious manner both in and out of class. Tangents are common. Hmm.

a little awkward but he's actually a really really interesting lecturer (is that a word?) and one of the nicest professors i've had. i only had him for a film class actually, so i don't know about the english classes. but i thought he was fantastic.
