This class was a general required course but I couldn't think of a better format. The teacher was enthusiastic, helpful, smart and worked hard to make the course relevant to modern day concerns. There were group projects so you were able to meet new people. There were many different ways to learn and it changed all the time. A great experience.

Dr. K is an exceptional teacher and I am happy to have been a student in her class. She makes the class interesting through great stories, interesting film clips, group assignments that are fun to do, visits to exhibits and art collections right on the SJU campus and use of computer data base to do research. Take this class and you will be happy.

Dr. Klaczynska is an incredible teacher. Her Forging class is interesting and inspirational. It is crammed full of projects and programs including studying art collections, computer based learning, visiting exhibits, and learning about Philadelphia. The group projects are great ways to meet new people and work with friends. Take this class.

Professor is very knowledgeable in history, and many other interesting subjects. Do the work and you will enjoy the class. Found her very compassionate and willing to guide me through a couple rough spots - my fault in the end for not being prepared.

This class requires a lot of readings for in-class discussion. You'll be lost if you don't read. You need to do 4 papers total (She doesn't give out A's, B+ at best). Tests are mostly short answer/fill in the blank and straight up memorization. Her lectures are pretty boring

I took this class strictly to fulfill a GEP and it ended up taking over my time for the semester. I was constantly reading and taking notes on the readings for this class. While I did manage to pull a B+ it was definitely slaved for. She wasn't much of a help getting that grade either. Hard tests, speaks painfully low, 4 annoying papers

I loved attending Dr. Klacynska's women's history class. She speaks softly, but she is very knowledgable and I loved listening to her lectures. Everything was handed back, either that class, or the following class. The quizzes were tough, but it was material I should I studied better, and she went over the answers afterwards.

Dr. K is a very sweet lady, she is a pretty easy grader on all of the papers she assigns but the tests are a bit difficult (not too horrible though). She is very monotone and is a bit oblivious which is why everyone sits on their laptops the whole entire class. All of the information for the tests and paper was on an easy online text book.

She's monotone and difficult to hear. Exams are hard because the material isn't scoped down and many of the questions are fill in the blank (with no word bank). Class participation and attendance is important. The course layout is a nice presentation of world history. Barb is a nice lady.

Barb is definitely one of the nicer teachers here at SJU. Her class is basically reviewing the book we had to read prior to that class and doesn't hold you too it if you have not read. We had to submit 8 2 page papers by the end of the semester which isn't that bad and are leniently grade. I recommend this class

This class is interesting and fun. It enables us to look at new resources using a variety of sources including finding exhibitions and art collections at SJU that nobody knew were there. Dr. K is enthusiastic, caring and will help you do well. It is more than a class it is a community of learners. Take her - you will not be sorry.

Idk what all the fuss is about, Professor K is not as great as advertised. Her class is boring and her exams are difficult (all fill-in the blank, no multiple choice). Do the readings or you will be lost. Barb might be the sweetest lady in the world but her class WILL put you to sleep

There is no better history teacher. You are stupid if you do not take her. If you are not a serious student and do not care for school do not take her classes because we actually talk and discuss like all classes should. I absolutely love this woman. Plus she tell you interesting places to try and see during your college years!
