Barbara is great! She cared about us doing well. She gave us extra time out of class to help us out with projects. She will ever over work you unless of course it is a printmaking class. She cared enough to understand if something went wrong or you were honestly unable to submit something. She grades fairly and is eager to make sure you learn.

Barbara is an amazing teacher and advisor. I have been in touch with her for over 5 years after taking two of her drawing classes. She has been instrumental in my pursuit and acceptance into postgraduate degree programs.

I took a 3rd year drawing class as a second year with her. I spoke to her throughout the term and she said I was doing "well". At the end of the class my mark was 10 percent lower than the OTHER 3rd year drawing class I took at the same time. I asked her about it and she said I was a second year and she had to maintain the bell curve.

she's a good prof and very nice. However she is a multi media artist. So if you don't want to do printmaking or silkscreening in your drawing class take drawing with someone else.

Nice prof, gives great advice and criticism - the only bad thing is that she lacks clarity - she refuses to be specific about assignments. Other than that she is great, and will help you improve your drawing skills dramatically! I just wish that we spent less time on class crits and maybe less out of class assignments.

She's a good prof but an excellent advisor. I get the impression that some advisors don't really want to help you. She is not one of them. If you have a question e-mail her because she actaully wants to help you.

I would recommend her, she marks easy, and is flexable with due dates, she did say something to me that kind of turned me off her through. And watch out for the Print Making shop technician.

Very nice human being but dedicates too much class time to class critiques. Class is often painful, but Barbara always tries to help, she just isn't articulate at explaining what she wants. Too much of an environmental bend in her liked subject matter. aka. the fume lady... but a nice one

I find she is very knowledge and skilled professor and artist! She knows exactly how to critic students' work. She explains it really well and was right on every time. Students must listen and take her advise to benefit from the class. I will always cherish what she taught me.

Nice prof, and rather interesting. Her etchings from art school are absolutely fabulous. In terms of etching she knows a LOT about the medium. A bit unstructured but not too bad. Genuinely cares about the students.
