Comment:

Fairly enigmatic at first but if you establish a reputation with him he warms up. Kind of an oddball but very smart and genuine. I love all his literature picks, we read some of my favorite books in his class. Class is better if you invest some energy and care about the readings and assignments. You get as much as you put in with his classes.

There's a ton of writing for this class. Class seems to go by pretty fast and he keeps it interesting for the most part. He's not too stern but he does give a lot of writing assignments. Seems somewhat lenient on students who do not put in as much effort. He likes dark literature like Sylvia Plath and Cruddy.

Charles was always a good teacher I felt. A good sense of humor, a nice guy and pretty engaging. I had him for two classes and enjoyed both.

He is a great teacher. I learned alot from him. But I didn't like the free writing at the beginning of each class... I felt like it was busy work. Maybe it should have just been some days, not everyday.
