Comment:

This was my second time taking one of his classes and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. He's a kind professor who is always willing to help you improve and gives great feedback. There is a one paged reaction paper due every week and a research paper due towards the end of the semester.

His class is pointless if you have taken 9th grade English. He accused me of plagiarizing my second essay saying that it was very good... too good. After I assured him that I did not plagiarize my essay, he gave me an A- on the paper. This was an A paper that he himself thought was too good. This made zero sense as all of my otheressays were A

I absolutely love Giancola! He's very understanding and loves what he does. I've taken two classes with him and thoroughly enjoyed both. If you don't like to read or can never find the time to, then you do not want to take the class. He gives great feedback and helps you become a better essay writer as well. Also willing to help during office hours

I gave this class a 4/5 because of the class itself. I'm not a fan of English classes as they tend to be my weak point. Professor Giancola is very reasonable and a great professor. He's always excited about the class and stories you read. Participation in the form of answering questions and sometimes reading aloud. Attendance is a MUST.

Very nice and genuine. Great teaching style. Respected for sure. Not a crazy amount of work, very manageable. Easy going teacher and class over all.

Prof. Giancola gives you every opportunity to succeed in his class. His guidelines are described clearly. People complain that he is a tough grader, but that is because he gives you what you DESERVE and many college students are simply lazy. If you're struggling, he offers flexible office hours. Probably the best teacher/professor I've ever had.

Very passionate about his job and cares about his students. If you need help you never need to hesitate to ask, he is glad to help. You definitely have to read the short story/play/ or poem he assigns for homework because that is what the next class will be based on. overall my favorite professor

Amazing teacher. I genuinely loved his class, and I usually hate English. Would recommend 110%! I messed up pretty bad on my last essay, handing it in four days late, and I still got a B on it. He genuinely cares about students. Pay attention and really learn something from him.

I love love loveeeee him!!! I'm taking his contemporary literature class (it's all about books, so no textbook which is nice) now and its AMAZZZZINNGGGG!!! I'm not much of a reader but he chooses such great books that I love doing the work! He is so inspirational. HIGHLYYYYYY recommend. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

An all around good guy! He really does brings out the best in you as a writer. He helps set the tone for what you have to look forward to regarding writing papers in college. i.e. work cited and attributions. Awesome person and compassionate. I'd definitely take him again!!

He is a great professor. He is very easy going. Two papers to write, and a weekly writing assignment (very easy). I got A's and B+'s all semester, my final grade was a C+!!! Other than my final grade, I was upset about nothing else. I loved the class!

Had him for ENG 101 there were no tests, and only 3 research papers. All 3 papers took up the entire course, with some grammar lesson, which weren't bad at all. He's very friendly and willing to help any way he can! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. I'm super quiet in class and he doesn't seem to mind.

Professor Giancola is a great professor and will help you as best as he can. He will explain something until everyone in the class understands. Personally, I find him to be a tough grader but he lets you revise your essays. Overall he is a wonderful professor and I would take a class with him again.

by far one of the BEST professors on this campus. only three papers to write and you have PLENTY of time to get them done. connects with every student, hes hilarious and is helpful with everything. He'll go over anything as many times till you get it. take him!!

He has a very interesting heir about him, and makes class engaging and entertaining. He is a tough grader, but he will work with you on any problems you have. I've taken his classes more than once and have had my expectation exceeded for the class! I recommend taking one of his classes.
