She told me that I had no skill or talent and was trying to compensate for that by pretending to be intelligent, still not sure what I did to deserve that kind of personal attack. Havent painted since she said that to me. Never want to see her or take a class with her again, would recommend avoiding her at all costs.

terrible teacher. could not stand being in her class. she was not very good at describing assignments and then would make up criteria she "described when assigning the work" during the crits, which no one in the class would be able to recall.

I had Diane way back in 2001. I am only posting this because I am annoyed by all the negative reviews. She was a passionate teacher and her class was very structured and enjoyable. I learned a lot about painting from her class.

Whoah. Settle down art ed haters. Those of you who find it appropriate to voice opinions in such a disrespectful way - obviously have not made it into the world of teaching. If you had, you would understand how unfair this site is!!!! Stop complaining, go teach, or move on!!! Diane has only been a positive influence on my teaching career.

Absolutely horrible instructor. She is self absorbed and self centered. She does not support her students and is only interested in her "Program of Excellence" which is far from excellent. She constantly brings in her sexual identity and agenda into the classroom. Her students do not trust her and she has pushed students with great potential out.

Diane is an amazing professor. She cares about her students and always supports what is in their best interest. The art education students are lucky to have her, she is great mentor for aspiring artists and teachers.

She is a nice lady and teaches Art Education very well. But I didn't learn as much from her in the Fine Arts classes. she is better with the Art Ed stuff.
