I just love Emerson Baker, he was my favorite professor last semester. I get to learn so much about the Salem Witch Trials through his book A storm of Witchcraft. I even learned about my own ancestors. He also encourage us to go into downtown in October.

He is awesome, and is a great professor. I had him for my first year seminar, and he really makes learning about the Salem Witch Trials fun. He is funny, and I would wake up in the morning excited to go to his class. It is pretty easy to pass his class as long as you do the homework (which is not that hard).

Professor Baker was the most interesting teacher I have ever had in all my years of learning history, from Social Studies in 3rd grade up until now. Although my love for history still stands at null, he made the class very thorough and understanding. You only take a Midterm and Final exam, and one pretty lengthy paper at the end. Take His Class!!!

Dr. Baker is one of the most entertaining professors I have had at Salem State. He is completely brilliant. He loves if you ask questions and participate. Don't take this class just to take a class, you should be interested in material culture as you will have to identify artifacts for exams. If you love American history, this class is a must!

Hands down the best. His willingness to help students and dedicate his time outside of class just to sit, talk, and work on research is mind-boggling. Professor Baker is what other professors should aspire to be.

Baker is absolutely great. He is by far the most passionate professor I have ever met. Teaches through power points, but he puts them all online if you don't feel like taking notes. Very helpful when needed. His bowties are amazing. Only thing: Probate Inventory paper at the end of the semester is killer. Do not put it off.

One of the best professors I have had, and I HATE history. He is kind, caring, helpful, smart, funny, and enthusiastic. What more can you ask for? Have to take alot of notes but they will HELP you for the midterm/final. Take him for history and you won't regret it. And he pulls off the bow-tie like no other man can. Do the work and you'll pass!

Hands down the best professor at Salem. He is a kind, informative, and jovial man, who would turn even the most uninterested students into avid participants in class discussion. He expects a lot from his students, but rewards hard work. Plus, no one can wear a bow tie quite like Tad Baker.
