Greg is an astonishing professor. I was nervous at first, but he is full of entertainment. He is there to give you life lessons and to help you realize how people are not so unlike. A professional poet who is in multiple books. He is a good teacher! Not that much work a couple short essay. Overall he is hilarious and may let you out of class early.

Really great Professor, very nice and very funny. He is very passionate about poetry, but his class was one of the easy classes i've ever taken. You do not need to do the reading, and he will not call on you unless your hand is raised. He is a very famous Irish Poet, so he is very insightful. VERY GREAT TEACHER TAKE HIS CLASSES.

Don't get me wrong, I had him for three semesters in a row (poetry workshop I, genres: poetry, poetry workshop II), but he is not a professor. Delanty is a poet. He gave great advice like: DON'T BE HALLMARK. He taught the most important thing wasn't to write elegant poetry with high language, but to make it you. A "must-take" professor (poet)

Had Delanty 10 years ago. Very very good except for making us recite poems from memory. Especially good when he does bruce springsteen lyrics as poetry. Lovable guy.

Before taking this class, I had mixed--mostly negative--feelings about poetry. Professor Delanty really brought the texts he read alive, even the ones I hated. Some people might be turned off by his heavy Cork accent, but you get used to it quickly and it becomes part of his charm. He's also hilarious :-)

I really dislike prof. Delanty. It may have been a personality clash, but I found him arrogant and rude. I avoided his courses after taking this one.

Very nice guy;always cracking jokes.Beware though, he loves his poetry & reads lots of it. Class is easy, but I didn't learn very much. His Irish accent is strong-he's goodhumoured about us not understanding at first & will repeat. easy to get on a tangent
