Professor DeJong is a well-rounded, brilliant example of how foreign culture should be taught in higher ed. Her passion and experiences abroad bring unique cultural flair to her classes and she truly embodies what Curry stands for. She also supports and mentors her students in and outside of classes because she cares, SHE'S AMAZING!

She isn't the most exciting teacher, but its not a hard class. She wants to know what you DO know not what you don't know. She is very monotone and slow but shes very helpful if you need it. There is homework every night. She is very understanding, and one of the more genuine teachers I've met at Curry.
