Lynn is awesome. She allows the students to think and form their own ideas. One of the few liberal feminist educators in the country who doesn't force feed you her opinions or demand you conform to her ideas. I had her as a freshman. Now I have to masters degrees and work for the UN in a foreign country. She inspired me.

Lectures were long and confusing. Study guide didn't help much. She gave extra credits, which can improve your grade. I rather take online SOC course than attending her class.

Lynn is a great teacher, although lectures can get long she does a great job of making them personal and entertaining, its not hard to get an A in the class as long as you read the book.

Her lectures are not always clear. The study guide gets confusing because it may not be what you expect on the test. If the book has a website to take quizzes I would recommend it because she takes questions from the online practice quiz and puts them on the test.

Has very long lectures everyday, lectures are not the same for every class so there are possible questions on the tests that she did not take about at all because she doesn't use an outline. She makes a study guide for the tests, but doesn't clarify on how that should be known for the tests. Gives tons of extra credit so it can save your grade.

Tests were very confusing. Notes didn't go over the test material. You write notes and watch pointless movies.There is extra credit offered and its supposed to be your opinion but she tells you your opinion is wrong. She only puts points up on D2L and doesn't say your grade until the last day.Highly suggest taking from different teacher!

Lynn is an awesome teacher! She's one of the best teachers I've had and her class was one of my favorites! She's very helpful, funny, and pretty easy. I learned a lot and she helped me decide what I should major in. Take sociology classes with her, she's great!!

Lynn is one of the most awesome professors I have EVER had in RCTC. She grades your assignments with appropriate time. She prepares you best for quizzes and assignments. She is very understanding and actually cares about her students. Also opportunities for extra credit. Overall A+ professor

I didn't like her at all. She didn't seem to know what she was talking about, and the information from her lectures almost never showed up on the tests. I feel like I could have learned the same amount if I only read the book and didn't ever attend class. She also seemed to be very closed minded.

Lynn is an amazing teacher and really cares about her students. She always lets the students when tests are and when homework is due. Her extra credit opportunities are amazingly helpful. She understands students have life outside of school and is willing to work with them to succeed in her class. I strongly recommend her :)

very funny and entertaining, gives extra credit opportunities, read the textbook but attending class helps a lot she gives great notes. there are writing assignments about once every 2 weeks and a test about every 3 weeks. she puts a study guide up on d2l - USE IT! overall.. good teacher, fun class!

Open in class, but sometimes I felt like I knew more than she did or that she was pulling answers and statistics out of her ass. She'll talk about anything which is good, you get points for showing up and 100% on the papers if you do them. The tests are pretty easy. She says read the textbook but if you do the online txtbook stuff you'll be fine
