I'm currently a 1L and despise practically my classes and professors except for Criminal Law with Professor Ashe. She is very approachable and knowledgeable and there for her students. Her class is the reason I'm sticking with law school and in doing so have found a true passion in criminal law studies. A great professor! Take a course with her.

Never before at any level have I endured such micromanagement of a writing assignment. She tells you how to write the whole 20pgs to the last sentence. She consistently seems ignorant of material and doesn't cover what she doesn't know, which may or may not be half the course. In lieu of that she'll have you write 20pgs of "responses"! (3cr course)

Pretty straightforward lectures without a lot of dialogue. Definitely can be a little dry sometimes, but the workload is manageable and she will tell you exactly what she wants in her final. She'll give out a practice final that she grades. Take it seriously and you'll get a ton of good feedback.

I don't even know where to start. So clear in lecture. We knew exactly what she wanted on the exam. She taught us the law and how to survive in law school. Best professor ever. I don't understand all the negativity bellow, maybe she changed her teaching style? LOVED HER!

She understood the law very thoroughly, but her lectures were difficult to organize because she jumped around a lot between caselaw and MPC. Still, her expectations were not unreasonably high, but she packed a LOT into one semester--would have liked a year-long course to cover the materials.

Refused to answer questions or hypos. Exam was all memorization of MPC. Would probably do much better if the course were a full year

Good teacher. Doesn't let students go on tangents about irrelevant issues, stays on track and focused. Able to go over a lot of material in limited time.

She tells you the important cases she wants to see you discuss on the exam. So the exam is not a surprise at all. And she basically tells you the important parts of the cases word for word. But she sticks strictly to the curve and is a hard grader.

Ok, so class can be a little dry sometimes, but she's very good at keeping the class focused and explains the issues very clearly. Very helpful and encouraging, cares about her students. After reading reviews here I expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. She's a great help in preparing for your first law school exams!!

I had her for both Con and Crim and contrary to most reviews I really enjoyed the classes. True she is not the most engaging teacher I have ever had, but unlike many other teachers she keeps the class focused on the important material. She is thoughtful and helpful on practice essays and there are no suprises on the exam. A great teacher overall.

She does read from the book but sets out the rules of law very clearly and states exactly what she expects on exams. She is also really helpful out of class.

She is incredibly boring and has a hearing problem so be sure to speak loudly. I found her teaching style extremely frustrating because she would spend the entire class essentially reading to us directly from the textbook - it made reading the text redundant. She wants you to recite the rules word for word so don't bother using legal analysis.

She has a real passion for the subject, but doesn't let you speak. She will ask random soft-ball questions (i.e. "what is federalism?"), but not allow for discussion of any kind. Her exam was really long and tough. Basically, I started my 1L year thinking Con Law was going to be my favorite class and ended having it be my least favorite.

She just stood there and read the cases. There was no debate, almost no class participation and no energy. I could barely stay awake and I became an expert solitaire player. I did ok on the exam, but only because I bought a nutshell and studied on my own.

Admittedly, it takes a special talent to take arguably the most important area of U.S. law and make it the most boring. Ashe does it in spades. She did tip us in the right direction as far as her exam was concerened, but I could care less about my final grade (which was OK, for Suffolk). Con Law without debate? That's just depressing.
