Yes, she can be rough around the edges, but she wants the student to be prepared to enter the HS field. As long you show up do your work you'll be fine.She can be a bit "miss know it" all but as long as you go in knowing that you'll know how to deal with the "little one". I thought she was good. She really does care about the students

Dr. Elmont is often misunderstood by many people. She IS tough, and there is a TON of work involved (yes, all classes involve work, but the work in this class was much more tedious than my other classes.)However, if you're a good student and you talk to her often and get to know her, she is very nice and willing to help with whatever she can.

She may come across as rude, but once you get to know her, she is very funny and ALWAYS willing to help students in any way she can. She's extremely felxible if you keep in close communication (this is key). She's old-fashioned, but I learned a lot about myself and what I want to do with my life. A VERY HELPFUL CLASS!!!

How this woman still has a job is beyond me! She is very rude and demeaning to her students, changes criteria for submitted work AFTER you've turned it in and is completely unclear as to how you are graded. The entire semester consisted of only a few hours of lecture with the remainder spent belittling her students.
