Amazing insight from a great guy! Class was very interesting and he is fair and I loved the class structure. No book, just cases to look up. I thought it was easy, but interesting- perfect class for 3 easy credits. You only have 3 1pg papers and a take home midterm and final. Love this class but hard to get above a C (also easy to get a C).

Very nice guy and extremely smart. His class is not for the lazy or those who do not enjoy the spontaneous atmosphere in court. Be prepared for a heavy amount of reading each class and take home papers. You will learn to think on your feet when arguing a motion in front of him in the class

Comment:
I took his course on Massachusetts Evidence. While I can see his style may not be for everyone, he is as knowledgeable of an authority as he is prominent contributer to the area of Massachusetts Evidence Law in general (see Massachusetts Guide to Evidence--currently before the SJC). Also, he was refreshingly modest despite his accomplishments.

Took him for Massachusetts Search & Seizure. I liked that we had to argue motions and questions witnesses based on hypotheicals. We drew in cases from his book too. He is a real intellectual guy... fun to pick his brain!

Excellent professor: his judicial perspective is invaluable. Difficult for those who cannot think on their feet or do not like the active judicial atmosphere. Not for wimps.
