Great professor. She gives plenty of time to do work and you can go ahead of the class if you want. Although, she is very into peer view which I wasn't fond of.

She's a teacher that really cares about her students doing well. There's lots of opportunity for improvement on papers since the deadlines are spaced out and grammar tends not to matter. Sometimes she can have strong opinions and would prefer you to write about one side if it's a position paper, but overall she's pretty flexible.

Prof. DeFranzo was an amazing professor. She is tough but she cares. Show her you care and she will help you. Show her you could care less and she will too. Papers are graded tough but she tells you exactly what to fix to get a better paper on the final draft. Bottom line - Do what she says and you will be fine.

Took Prof. Defranzo fall 2016 from ENG101 and realized I will never have a more caring, free spirited professor like her. She's honest with her students and looks to help improve student's writing rather than what most profs these days do and give everyone a (B+) for mediocre work. You will actually pass and learn to be a better writer if you try!

I love her! I love the way she teaches and her methods. She gives you chances to improve on your writing skills by reading your rough drafts before it's due and dedicates the whole class to it, and if she thinks it's an A paper, you're done.
