Comment:

Tom is a good teacher. Record his lectures to refer back to, he doesn't mind and it can be useful as this is dense. Don't even bother with the textbook, as he is VERY CLEAR- the test is ONLY what he talks about in lecture. The book may have conflicting info or go into way too much depth. He scales, so don't panic. Use YouTube videos to supplement.

Comment:

So Tom is a very goofy funny professor, dont get me wrong but he isnt easy to understand. He writes his own notes which SUCKS for studying unless you have EVERYTHING. He doesnt do anything online barely homework its just to study. Its hard to get in touch with him too. Hes very distracted and all over the place. Wouldnt take again.

Comment:

Tom is a funny man, very outgoing. however his teaching technique is by far the most complex class I have taken. Be prepared to have a 2 chapter test.. timed followed by lecture of him discussing the next chapter you will be learning and lab right after. He is not clear at all about what is on the tests. And the diagrams he does are awful.

Comment:

Tom knows his stuff and if you are interested in learning, he can teach you a lot. If you are just there for a requirement/low level course, he wont give you a hard time. Grades in my intro class were scaled upwards of 25 points sometimes. Never studied and still got an A. Take home final exam as well. Tom is a great guy.

Tom really understands the material he is teaching, but breaks it down so it is easier to understand. He is very upfront about when a test will be and what will be included on the test. Very enjoyable semester!

Absolutely amazing. I took him for AP1 and it was very easy to understand the information he was talking about. Test were easy because we would go over the information multiple times before the exams. Overall great teacher would definitely recommend everyone to take his classes.

amazing teacher and gets right to the point. classes are long and he will lecture for an hour at a time but it gives you all the info you need for the test and he writes out all the notes he is giving and makes amazing diagrams

If you don't know how to take notes and study then you won't pass. He is a no nonsense kind of teacher in that he gives you all the information and expects you to learn it. It's as simple as studying, he isn't going to put in trick questions or any bull like that. Best teacher I've had in college.

This teacher keeps my attention and I will take every class I can with him. He is direct in what you need to study and as long as you take notes in class you're set. I'd recommend recording him during class, he doesn't mind. Be quiet, do your work, and he'll love you.

Tom is a great professor! I took him for A&P I as an accelerated course in the summer and it was such a good decision. Grades are based on tests but he is very clear on what you need to study. Take good notes from lectures and everything he puts on the board and you should pass. He is a great guy! Definitely recommend him.

I took AP1 over the summer as an accelerated course. Lecture exams and lab practicals every Tuesday for 8 weeks. Tom does curve in a way that benefits the students. His exams are true to the material he presents in class. Currently in AP2 with him cause I enjoyed AP1. 15 week course is easier, I have more time to study. Still plan on getting an A.

The Best Teacher ever. I have taken three courses with him. Thomas Gorczyca's lectures are very interesting. He presents the material in a way you will not get bored and will definitely keep it in your head. The labs are very interesting as well. The grading system is fair.

Tom's awesome, I've taken him for both A & P's and Microbiology. As long as you go to class and take the notes he writes on the board and study them.. you'll do fine. only grades on test from lecture and lab and some homework, but honestly not much for a microbiology class. Good guy and has PLENTY of stories. Wish i could take him for more classes.

Should you ever try to access this prof outside of class it will be impossible. every one likes to take AP with him but you are likely to fail if you take it with him, he gives hints that he will not bring in the exam throwing your studying off, his exams are very very long and confusing he gives different exams in the same exam marks them A and B

Tom Gorczyca is a great instructor. He is not a stickler as to whether or not you show up to class but he bases tests on what is discussed and written on the white board during class. If you want a passing grade, show up for lecture, take notes, and study those notes. No papers, no pop quizzes. Another bonus? Extra credit for all students!

I have taken A&P1 and A&P2 with Tom. He's a great professor. His teaching style is not complicated. Come to class, take notes, study notes, diagrams and outlines which he provides. He grades very fairly and always on a curve. He also happens to be hilarious and down to earth.
