Professor Idoui was an amazing professor. He is very knowledgeable and intelligent. You learn a lot about the world as a whole and he has very relevant applications and examples. He does tend to go off topic and ramble but as long as you read the book you'll be fine for tests and quizzes. highly recommend!

Comment:

Tries to force his views on you, deems his views as 'correct'. Will treat you as stupid if you ask questions. Uses inaccurate historical information and data. Will not heed your 504 regardless of signage, wants a day in advance notice. -5 mins or shorter for quizzes and test. -30 minutes for the final. Don't recommenced taking this class.

LOVED his class ! His lectures were the most interesting and full of information so it would be best not to space out. He can sometimes go on a little longer than normal but nonetheless is amazing. He gives out study guides that help a lot on tests and quizzes! If you ask for clarification he will answer your questions (: a really eye opening class

Such a great teacher. He has a very heavy accent, so it was a little hard to understand him, but he provides study guides and goes over any questions before the test. Only thing I disliked was how he didn't give much time to take quizzes, but he always gave extra points because of that which was awesome about him!

He has a fairly heavy accent, making it hard to follow if you zone out in class, but he repeats the material multiple times until the whole class understands. The students set the pace for learning and he adapts because he cares about his students learning the material more than sticking to a schedule. He wants you to learn and it shows.

An easy "A", he is very passionate about this subject and you can tell. He gives you all of the things to get an "A". He provides outlines for each chapter and study guides! This is so rare for a college professor to make and print out chapter outlines for their students! Take advantage of this. I cant even comprehend how people fail this class.

I cant believe these bad reviews. He is an excellent teacher, but he is not an EASY teacher by any means. He is very clear about what he expects, and wants from you as a student. Organized, and very knowledgeable in Sociology. Show up, do your work, and you will be fine.

Probably one of the worst professors that I've had. You can't understand him at all during lectures, he's useless when it comes to help with the work & he gives out too many quizzes/tests. I do NOT recommend him. Worse professor I have ever had. Barely passed with a C even when I did all the work & got passable grades on the tests. DON'T DO IT!!

Quizes are easy, tests are a little harder. He seems to enjoy the subject matter, overall, pretty likeable guy. There is an extremely rude girl that talks during his lectures, but thankfully, he knows how to shut her up. I just moved away from her.

He is hard to understand at times and notes are crazy, but if you learn to write key words he uses over and over again with certain ideas, you can use them for the test and quizes. He gives a lot of quizes but they are easy. Overall glad to have past, not my favorite professor.

This class has honestly been ALL lecturing. Although he is thorough in reviewing material, he talks the ENTIRE class then leaves literally 5-10min for quizzes or tests, and wonders why people do poorly? Yes, its been a fairly simple and black and white multiple choice class, how are you supposed to stay engaged when your not involved as a student??
