The only people who give Genthner a bad rating are those people who are too stupid to do well in a COLLEGE course. College is supposed to be hard and you're supposed to actually learn something from this class. I easily made an A in her classes, but I'm also not an idiot looking to bs my way through college.

Had her for Genetics Lab and Micro Lab. VERY INTENSE and THOROUGH.!!! almost everyone doesn't like her lengthy lectures or labs but i feel she should be teaching the real lecture classes. Her research is on anaerobic microbes and she's smart.! Grades fair. Lab reports are easy A's. Lab practicals are no joke. 15pages.!!! i love her. lol

Do yourself a favor and take this class at s real college like PCJ. She is cold an calculating. Anyone that has had her class understands my meaning. She is a real Dick and Napoleon. This school can and should do better. I can't believe they allow students to waste the tuition in her class. She is to busy being hard she forgets about the student

I am a second degree student and this is the absolute worst instructor I have ever had. This class is difficult enough and she tries to make as painful as she can. She has two faces one that pretends to care about her students and the other face is likes to nasty, power hungry, moody, controlling (totally Napoleon attitude). Dont take her class.

She scruntinizes your extra credit in an effort to give as little extra points as possible. I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt but I don?t feel that way any longer. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE HER FOR THIS CLASS. If you can?t wait try PJC. SHEWILL allow you to ruin your 4.0 GPA.

Since I started her class I have lost all interest in the sciences. It is true she very nitpicky, inconsistent; in grading information provided and generally disorganized. This is an entry level micro class and she was us to know everything. She a ruthless grader and expect you to be a PHd student. Don't take her class. I have a pretty decent student and I am struggling in her class. I have to study her material everyday. NO MERCY, very nitpicky, hates to be challenged, and she thinks the book is alway wrong.

Reading the other blogs she still has not changed in six years. She is very nit picky and hates to be wrong. Even if you show her in the book that you answered the question correctly, she states, "the book is wrong". If that's the case why is the school using this book, that cost $178)It is time for the school to step in and help the students.

Her tests are extraordinarily HARD! Everything she has ever told you will be on there, including the smallest details. She's a very nit-picky grader. She also has a bit of an attitude when it comes to asking for help. Lectures way too long, but the lectures help make the actual class make sense, so pay attention! Get old exams if possible.

Had her for genetics and micro lab. A lot of people said she had an attitude, but I didn't really see that. She is just expects a little more out of you than other teachers. I enjoyed both classes with her. You do have to study to understand the material, you can't just attend class and turn in the work and expect an A. Study!

her tests aren't hard if you read and study everyday. Some of the questions are straight from the previous quizzes. but i had a pretty hard time in there. the only thing i'll say about her is that she kind of has an attitude.

This lab was fun. Genthner was good about explaining the material. It definately made more sense coming from her than from Dr. Lepo. However, she gets very offended if you challenge her grading and is very reluctant (and occasionally refuses) to fix these mistakes. She is an extremely nitpicky grader, so beware. Otherwise, she's not too bad.

I do not know which Genther they are raiting, but let me put it this way; I made an A in the lecture part of Microbiology (Lepo) and a D- in the lab. Her tests are insane, in the sense that if you do not already have your PhD in Micro you are just out of luck. The lab reports she assigns are also ridiculous. It never mattered how much I studied.

Knows her stuff but lectures too long that there is no time to do the day's experiment. Also sometimes hard to get a hold of her. Old exams are helpful because she takes points off for the smallest details. Nice lady though. Just talks a lot.

Asks if anyone needs help, but doesn't always wait for an answer. Quizes are difficult, but grading is fair, and if anything she is overly easy on the lab reports. She does lecture throughout the lab, but I think understanding what is going on is a good thing... A trained monkey can go through the motions. Overall, very effective- you learn alot
