Comment:
Dr. Kiel is great anyone that says other wise must just not be following what he says to do and clearly not working for the grade. Passing this class is NOT hard, getting an A is NOT hard, he gives a huge scale every year which I think is TOO generous but he does it, so be thankful and just study your drugs, you wanna be pharmacists right?

Comment:
This class is the worst class I have every taken. Kiel basically just talks for 50 minutes straight with no pauses and expects you to understand and memorize everything right then and there. His exams are hard as hell. You have to know everything about every drug. Even the small things that you think he won't test you on, he will.

Dr. Kiel is a well respected, approachable professor that helps students any chance he gets.... whether it's a problem with another professor, clarification/explanation on something from lecture, or just to talk about school. He is an incredibly smart professor who makes this school MUCH more tolerable!

Comment:
Dr. Kiel's entire class is a run-on sentence. His slides have no words on them, just pictures from the textbook. He speaks so quickly that's it's nearly impossible to take good notes in class. Definitely need to rewatch lectures. Haven't had first exam yet, but already think he is one of the worst lecturers. Not sure who wrote the comments below...

Comment:
Students struggle with his class because of how heavy lecture based it is. His slides are useless because they're pictures and drug names listed. He gives you nothing to go off of except of what he says in class, so if you're not a gifted note taker or auditory learner you're screwed. Spent more time re-listening to lectures than actually learning.

Professor Kiel is one of the best professors MCPHS has to offer (and that's saying a lot). Go to every one of his classes (not elsaids). Handsome, intelligent, and professional man. I love the way he carries himself and the way he speaks. More on the robotic than human side when it comes to emotions/smiling - must be a dysfunction in his GCPRs.

Comment:
Arguably the best professor at MCPHS (vs Dr.Kelly or Dr Migliore). Very clear, concise, excellent pronunciation, takes time to explain difficult material. If you need to get his A, you need to work hard. Arrogant, elegant and role model to many female students in class.

Wonderful professor. The amount of information you learn in this class is intense but he takes his time and explains things thoroughly. His exam is hard and conceptual but if you pay attention in class and review material often, it is a piece of cake. He truly is a wonderful professor and we need more like him!

Dr. Kiel is a pretty great teacher. He talks at a very slow pace which definitely helps note taking. The volume of material you cover is pretty extensive, but he breaks everything down by drug class which makes it easy to understand. Definitely won't say this is an easy class, but if you pay attention and take good notes you should be fine.

Great professor. He is rather serious and will not be cracking hundreds of jokes in class, but he is there to teach and he DOES teach. Speaks at a nice pace and repeats things often, helping students learn. Always responds to emails (in my experience anyway). Tests can be rather hard/tricky, but if you put the time in to study you will be fine.

When I look at him, all I think is "when is he going to ask 'Does Geico really save you money on car insurance? Is Too-Tall Jones too tall?'" Also, what's with all the "I don't know" responses to at least 2 questions per class. They aren't exactly difficult questions he's being asked, yet he's never looked them up...

Gives a whole new meaning (and pronunciation) to the word stomach. Funny to watch him trip over drug names he hasn't rehearsed. My favorite moment(s) are when he turns the overhead screen blank so that he can look up what he's about to say. One time, he made the mistake of showing his reference slide. At least his tests were pretty easy. Geico!

A great teacher; very organized, well spoken, encourages other's growth and leaves enough space for subordinates to register opinions during discussions. Relatively forgiving of others mistakes however, don't make him your enemy or expect apologies.
