Attendance is as mandatory as it will ever be. Make sure that you can actually articulate your thoughts well when you write; I did very well, but I know that a lot of students in my class did not. Meeting with her is not that easy, but if you can accomplish the latter, it will be helpful both to you as a writer and to your grade.

i thought her teaching style was quite boring and blahh. however, she was available outside of class, and i liked that she extensively commented on my papers so i knew what to improve on. i didn't think she was THAT bad. she is nice tho.
