If you are taking this class online.. Think again. This professor was horrible about responding to emails. Her lectures on microsoft powerpoint looked like a three year old did it. No effort from the professor and quiet possibly the worst professor that I have had during my three years here.

Comment:

I had an asynchronous for her. There are 5 essays that have to be 5 pages long(double spaced), that are based on her lectures(aren't that good), the textbook, and another textbook about primary sources. She thoroughly reads this essay and will even grade your tone. But still somewhat an easy grader. But some essays were extremely difficult.

This was my first time taking an asynchronous course and I do not recommend taking History online. A few of her lectures were not clear and concise because she would talk about one thing then jump to another topic. She's very understanding when it comes to turning in an essay late if you need more time to work on it.

I have yet to take an exam of hers, but so far my notes from her class are just everywhere. Not consistant all over the place, she jumps from period to period. Another thing is the lectures are supposed to match the readings, but as ive studied the readings i noticed, she is going from three different chapters at once, its just all over the place

If you like history, you will hate it after taking this class. The complete lack of consistency, ranging from sprawling illegible lectures on the board to foreign films, will seem like a mere inconvenience when it comes to the two essay tests. Do not bother writing about anything post WW2 for the term paper,as the professor is clueless of that time

Lectures dont make any sense. Buying the textbook is pointless because nothing from it shows up on an exam. She gets off topic easily. She checks her phone while teaching, but will yell at you if you even try using your computer to take notes. Honestly dont know how the school hired her. But then again, this is Detroit Mercy, so im not surprised.

She is knowledgeable and challenging. I learned a lot in her class and would recommend her. You have to be ready to learn. She's on point, it isn't easy though.

The entire class form beginning to end is lectures. We watched two movies and they were in different languages (this is a history class, not language class). Her writing is impossible to read. Extremely boring and irrelevant class.

Honestly, she's one of the worst professors I've had . She's incredibly outdated, still requires that you participate via notebook. She's very anti technology, even though you pay to go here , she refuses to allow you to have your phone out as if it's 1700. Very opinionated, avoid at all costs

Probably the worst professor I have ever had during my college career. Get ready to have your ears bleed, because it's going to be a long semester! She is very uninformed and should be teaching kindergarten! She constantly refers old Constantinople as Istanbul, even though it did not become Istanbul until 1930

Took evening Intro to History course, and found myself regretting it almost instantly. Her writing looked like chicken scratch and if you inquired about notes she'd written she'd act as if you were too unintelligent to read. Very soft spoken as well. was nice outside of class to give help, but has a cool life story. Nice, but not fun.

Very knowledgeable,but not a good teacher; her lectures are all over the place, she jumps around to much. Her expectations are not clear and her handwriting is awful. She does offer her assistance during office hours.
