Found her by accident - her last name is Stuber. This was a hard class but I was more than prepared for graduate school. People who said she was arrogant, in it for the money, and didn't care are living in another world. I have had Dr. Stuber for several classes and enjoyed each one - Research Methods was a killer but I highly recommend her class!

My God this course kicked my butt - but wow. I didn't know I would grow to love research - I took this course 2 years ago and really did well in grad school because of this course. My thesis was a breeze; everyone else was struggling with writing and APA format. I was so prepared! Excellent course.

Comment:

Worked a lot, no nonsense professor; but I appreciated the classes I had with her. People who complain are typically those who didn't try or got caught cheating. And she does catch you. I learned a great deal in the upper division courses. Would recommend to those who are not afraid to put out some effort.

Hard class, a lot of writing, but I came through it just fine. I feel more confident in my own skills as a result of this class. I know students who have changed their majors to psych because of her. A little hard to get hold of because she is so busy. But always willing to provide help outside of class. Highly recommend!

She tried to put me to sleep, but I pressed through the tough times only to learn nothing. Perhaps the type of students (gen ed folk) made it less of a priority for her, but she wasn't helpful and was rude.

If you go to class, take notes, and turn in all of the assignments when or before they are due then this class should be a breeze for you. Also all of the extra credit is simple to do and helps your grade alot. Plus she is a very direct and to the point type of instructor. There is no B.S. involved.

Any idiot knows that people do not go into teaching for the bucks. I worked my tail off in this class, but am now confident of my preparedness for graduate work. I've had McEwen for several classes - enjoyed them all. Learned a lot. Don't confuse arrogance with confidence. You'll work hard & LEARN!
