He keeps talking in class and during our exam today, I think I totally failed. He didn't really specify what to study. What came out from the exam today was totally not what i expected. He needs to clearly explain to us what he is teaching and not run off in a tangent. I have to say he is a very knowledgeable I am not clear on what he is teaching.

Didn't show up to class on the first day, and about 6 or 7 in between that. So boring. All we did was watch movies. I don't think he ever learned anyone's name in the class. Waste of 3 credits, but at least it was easy.

Professor Smith is a very smart man but a terrible professor. He goes off on random tangents in class and expects you to remember every fact he mentions. There are only three grades in the class-midterm, final, and one paper- so there's a lot of pressure on those three things. I would not take this class, I wish I hadn't.

Missed the first and lass classes and several in between. We were graded based on one final paper which I am convinced he didn't actually read. Attendance was not mandatory because the final paper was on a topic of our choice and he never took attendance. Boring and useless class. Easy A though.

Didn't show for first class, last class or five-six in between. Interesting stories, but he really would make a better guest lecturer. He tends to repeat stories anyways. I wouldn't take a class with him again.

DON'T take this class! Almost every comment made previous to this one is correct...his lectures are totally unfocused and he expects you to remember random facts. The amount of material from the book that he expects you to remember is also ridiculous. This is one of the more stressful classes I have taken believe it or not.

One of the most knowledgable and interesting people i've ever met...but when he lectures he speaks in a monotone voice, looks at the floor, and expects you to be able to quote him.

Professor Smith is really intelligent, but his class is terrible. His stories are interesting, but his lectures as a whole are very unfocused and boring. There were three grades in the entire semester, and the assignments unclear. We didn't get a syllabus until right before the midterm. Pass on this

Very knowledgeable and you will learn a lot. Unfortunately, not about the class material. Exams have random questions and papers have no guidelines. Definetely take class, only do it pass/fail.

Smart guy, but doesn't take the time to get to know his students. Brilliant prof if you want to learn a lot about DC. Knows so much about history and never went to college.
