The most amazing prof I have ever had in my life. Changed my life for sure. Couldn't have had a better prof and she is hilarious. If being a prof fails she should do stand up comedy. DO NOT bring paper to her class she will shred it #savetheplanet. I would definitely recommend this prof for any subject, I think she can do it all.

While other people don't like francine i found her to be highly comical and semi-decent. She genuinely cares about students and is always available outside of class (will be late to meetings though) if you work semi hard you will get a 90

She is so hard to follow and lectures are extremely boring but she gives marks for attendance. She is a nice person and served in the army with her husband, but she should not be teaching. She gets off topic so often. Tests are easy and she allows you to take a cheat-sheet for the final exam.

Lectures are all over the place. Explanations to concepts are given with very abstract and not very relevant examples. Train of thought is broken easily, and asking questions after class or during office hours will bring more confusion. Not interested in keeping student interest in class. Otherwise nice teacher. M/C exams. Very fair in grading.

She has a thick french accent, but she's very approachable. If you come to class and get to know her, you'll get marks. She'll help you get marks if you try. The labs are soo easy, there is help available all around you ;). Can get a decent grade overall.

Incredibly disorganized. Shows half an example then continues to trail off on a completely irrelevant tangent. Instead of teaching most of the material she posts PDFs in Sakai. Her Sakai resource page is an awful mess of random files and useless information.

This was the class I liked least in first year. She hardly explains anything. The labs are about excel and yet our test and exams are about doing math by hand. The textbook is horrible and doesn't explain anything.

Honestly she has a good heart but is not a good teacher. She has a hard time communicating to the students her expectations and her requirements. For the amount of times she has taught this class I would have assumed that she be more familiar with the material. It looked like she was learning it for the first time.
