Comment:

Dr. Rawson is really nice and she cares about her students succeeding and actually learning. She does assign a very large amount of homework with weekly reading and vocab along with many other things. She also takes a long time to grade assignments.

Awful, If I was't a french minor I would avoid at all costs! She is disorganized, never grades anything, hardly ever gives feedback and assigns things with little to no heads up. I have asked for help from this professor and she essentially said "too bad so sad, figure it out" she assigns books that are way above our reading level.

Totally disorganized, never hands things back and thus never know grades, all classes tend to be the same, no textbook so no real structure, kind of mad that shes the only French prof on campus

She's so intelligent, caring, and knowledgeable. Work can be disorganized if you are. The perspectives and insight I got from being in her classes have been phenomenal!!

I love this woman so much. I wish I could take more classes with her! She goes above and beyond to make French exciting and engaging. She is also so caring and enthusiastic!

Madame Rawson is truly a GEM, she cares about all of her students and simply wants you to enjoy learning French. She understands that most people are taking the course for credit only, but still tries to make it fun! Honestly, if you show her that you are trying, and keep up on the online homework you will get a B or an A. (She's also super kind).

Mme. Rawson is a lovely lady who genuinely cares about her students. However, the structure of this class is... jumbled. She has not handed back or went over any tests taken this entire semester. Although there are ample opportunities to earn extra credit through projects or on tests, the amount of outside work we have to do is insane.

Mme. Rawson is absolutely fantastic! She truly cares about her students and is such a mom. There's a lot of homework, but it helps you learn the material which makes tests much easier. I enjoyed going to class because she keeps it fresh & interesting. She gives fun opportunities for extra credit as well. She really works to bring French alive!

At first I was kind of intimidated by her classes, but Dr. Rawson turned out to be one of my favorite profs at Concordia. Her classes are indeed very difficult, but she is super helpful and really cares about seeing her students succeed. Highly recommend!

Rawson teaches the best core capstone in place right now: "Engaged with the World: 21st Century Technology" She knows her stuff and will challenge you, but she's also very caring and highly interested in helping you succeed. Very enjoyable, thought-provoking class. Great reading selection and only one major paper. If you need a capstone, take it!

There is a lot of memorizing for this class because it is all about history. The final is dificult but in a way that makes you learn. I learned a TON about the history of France and it really helps you to understand France today was well.

She is hard, but she is amazing. She knows so much and knows so many people. Ask her and she will help, if you don't it's your own fault you haven't done well. People underestimate the ability to talk with a professor and gain her respect. Just because not everyone falls into the "Minnesota Nice" category means they are a bad professor.

She is one of the most intimidating professors I've ever had. But that's what made me come to class and that's what made me study and do homework. If you come to class and do the work you'll do fine. She is a wonderful teacher, but her fairness comes off as harsh sometimes. I've never learned so much from one teacher.
