Comment:

Dr. Herrick is a great person, but he gets off topic easily; which made his lectures were very hard to sit through. You will need to read the chapters in order to pass his 50 question exams. Although, I never studied more than an hour before an exam and made high grades. There is a 4 page essay, and the final is not comprehensive.

He uses a lot of opinionated information. The lectures are mostly just class conversations. Sometimes his notes reflect on the test but the book is more dependable. Very hard to stay on topic. Great for those who just want to pass. I wouldnt recommend it for anyone actually wanting to learn

My favorite prof. By far he is very understanding, just do the work and don't be lazy he is awesome! Dry humor but he honestly inspired me to do better, I was failing because I wasn't studying and being lazy etc. he stopped me in the hall one day and talked to me and since that day I've done EVERY extra credit opportunity and now have an A

Comment:

Dr. Herrick was a wonderful professor and truly enjoyed his class. His lectures are meaningful, and I would estimate about 90% of the information on tests. The grades are for 5 tests, the final is not comprehensive and a final paper. After the final, we were offered to replace the lowest score we had for an extra test. Would gladly take him again!

I have loved taking this class, this was my favorite class this semester. You must read the book and go to his lectures to get an A, which is not a bad thing because his lectures are amazing. You know how the whole semester will go the first day. You write one paper toward the end of the semester but you have about a month to do it.

Show up to class, pay attention in lectures, and read your textbook. Easiest A ever. He makes the lectures interesting, always answers your questions. He really wants his students to succeed and will work with you.

Dr. Herrick was a pretty good teacher. He was very clear in the beginning of the course what he expected of you, in order for you to pass. His tests can be tough, if you don't listen to the lectures or take notesread the chapters laid out in the syllabus. He goes over what will be on the tests, but you should still read the chapters!

Professor Herrick is a great teacher and would def. take him again! He keeps his lectures interesting and tells you exactly what he expects from you! Dr. Herrick is a great professor! His lectures are clear and concise. He tells you exactly what he expects from you. He is very humorous and his lectures are interesting. Take good notes in class, read assigned chapters, and do not expect to pass on lecture notes alone. I can't stress how important reading the chapters is enough! Read! Read! Read!

Dr. Herrick's class was very interestg to me, i learned alot from him and i very much enjoyed his discussions and topics. Do read the book and write your heart out in class notes! i wish i had him for psych life span. Good luck!

One of the best teachers I have ever had! He is very specific on how to pass his class. Read the section before class and take notes, come to class and take a good set of notes and study well and you'll pass every test easily. His lectures were very interesting and I wish there were more teachers like Dr. Herrick.

Tests are easy only if you read the material and understand it. Just relying on lecture notes will give you a hard time on the test. This class gave me a new found love for studying. He is a great professor and I would take him again if I could!

Comment:

Lectures the entire time, but he tells jokes. If the class starts falling asleep he mentions it, sometimes making the entire class stand up. Definitely take notes while he talks. Before test day he tells you the major things to study and that it's best to at least read the chapters so you'll pass. Overall, loved the class.
