Comment:

Professor Somani's class set me up for a real career, not an easy A. She was tough but so is producing for television--it's a tough job, and a tough life but with the right tools, which Somani gave me, is incredibly rewarding. She always went above and beyond as a teacher and mentor.

Professor Somani is one of the few teachers I had who I felt really cared how I did beyond AU. She is hard and demands a lot from her students, but really prepares students for this business. I so appreciated that she pushes students to be the best!!

A rough diamond. Once you get to really know her, she is a wonderful person/professor. Built so much confidence in her students, and is passionate about seeing her students succeed. NO other professor will prepare you for the real world like will.

I've worked with her twice and people who say negative things because she is difficult need to wake up and enter the real world. She will prepare you for life as a journalist better than any other professor at AU and is very helpful if you show respect.

the worst teacher ever! she's a devil. she's rude, unfair, mean-spirited, and fake. Don't ever consider taking her class, she can really stress you out and feel miserable. I hate her to death and she totally ruined my AU experience for me.

SO GLAD I DROPPED HER CLASS! I picked it up the next semester with Menke-Fish who is everyone's favorite, and for good reason. Take Somani if you want to have a completely unenjoyable and sour experience.

Horrible prof. Avoid at all costs. Very ****y and moody. Doesn't know how to teach and makes the students answer all the questions. So bad I avoided a Reporting class with her. I didn't get the right section, I was gonna wait so I didn't have her.

very rude to everybody, will not go over questions, asks questions she does not know the answer to, has no knowledge of this topic, only what we read in the text, may know about journalism, but that doesnt help in this class.
