Taps is the best professor I've had to date. He takes his time to get to know his students. He's very personable. When he assigns reading, DO the readings. It will help you in the long run. Attend every class, this is vital. Put your best foot forward in all your assignments, he knows when you don't give it your all. Great professor!

Comment:

Tapleshay was probably one the best professors I had. His class was not difficult at all, just make sure you read the text. Attendance isn't mandatory but do your self a favor and go, I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures. His lectures taught about the value of life and the modern myths we face everyday. Very kind, funny, and truly cares. Recommend!

Prof. Tapleshay is truly wonderful! I did not enjoy English, but he made class and the subject so much better! Sit in the front, take notes, and visit his office hours if you have any questions. We didn't have many essays. I would definitely take him again if I could, and turn in your essays on time!

The Most heart driven professor I've had (so far) at College of The Desert. I had some financial issues which kept me from striving as as student in his class, but he was there and offered his help 100%. If you take his class be ready to put your brain to work at maximum potential, nonetheless, its worth every bit. Jack Tapleshay, you are amazing!!

I also to him for English 1A, which it was the reason why I took this semester. If you show up for class, don't be late, and work hard, you will be able to pass his class. I enjoyed the way he teaches. Great teacher and person. I would take him again.

The best professor I've had yet. I truly left class everyday feeling inspired . He's helpful and understanding . If you have a passion for English, I recommend Mr. T! I wish everyone could take this class. The work is easy as long as your willing to put in the effort.

I took Jack's English 1A class when I was 28, in 1993. I had dropped out of high school and didn't know what to do with my life. Tapleshay was that one professor who demonstrated what great teaching looked like. I was inspired to become a teacher myself and have been teaching 5th grade for 19 years. You won't finish his class the same person!

I really enjoyed his class. He's a great professor. He understands his students and makes you feel like he cares about his students. Sit in the front and always be on time. He does get upset about being late but make sure your on his good side.

Prof. Tap is an amazing professor. He truly cares about his students and their success. I've taken him twice, and both times I improved as a student. During his lectures, he'll talk about adapting a new attitude about things in our life. He's truly an inspiration. You won't regret taking him but you have to put in the work. He expects the best.

I have now had several classes with TAPS and I have to say he is easily the best professor I have ever had in any subject. His class not only taught me how to be a better college student, but about life as well. I had a renewed sense of vigor to obtain my degree after his classes.

Summer school 2014! Prof. Tapleshay wants to get to know you, and truly loves his students. The course material was different and better than I though it was going to be; focuses on how it relates to our lives, which was great. Interactive class & nice intro to Joseph Campbell. I highly recommend this Prof., everyone needs to take this class.
