Absolutely Love Dr. Torguson. He is one of the reasons I wanted to finish GIS Minor. Absolutely nothing dry about class. Learning is fun with Dr. Torguson and has a way of explaining concepts for everybody to understand. Thank you Dr. Torguson and thank you SCSU for an amazing Professor. ��

Comment:

Torguson certainly stands apart from most professors. He is funny, and can get off-topic pretty fast. However, he truly cares about his students. He teaches material in a way that is fairly easy to understand, yet he still expects hard work out of his students. Assignments are very easy, tests can be a bit more difficult than you might expect.

He is an awesome professor and even cooler guy. He grades you fair and you get the grade you deserve, I didn't even do to well in the class and I still like him a lot. His lectures are good, and he has a good sense of humor that really relates to his students.

Hes a great teacher! i loved this class. the lectures are kinda boring though, but the class is fun. All of the points given are on the tests, so if you do bad on them you do bad in the test, so thats stressful. but otherwise hes a really nice guy and really wants you to do well in the class.

Dr. Torguson was a WONDERFUL teacher and the entire reason went on to get the GIS gradate certificate at SCSU?best career decision I ever made?6 years later I?m now on my third professional job in the field making over $20 per hour. Thanks Dr. T!

I'm in my senior year here and he is one of the best professors I have had at SCSU. Truly passionate about teaching and loves to help. He understands that some things come faster and easier for some and will help in a discrete manner if need be. Makes class fun and takes the pressure off. Attending class will dramatically help your test scores

Great professor! Loves his job! Advice: GO TO CLASS! He gives attendance bonuses, sometimes double/triple(usually fridays for triple). MEMORIZE MAPS! most of the exam questions are knowing where stuff is! Do that, and you will get a good grade! and yes, he does look like Flanders!!!!!
