Great professor! Obviously interested in subject and SO helpful, but in and outside of the classroom. Definitely take a class w/Jenny before you graduate if you get the chance! You have to put in the work, but always worth your time.

Jenny is my favorite professor on Colby campus, hands down. She is not only brilliant but also genuinely kind and really cares about everyone in the class. She encourages everyone to be a better writer, no matter your talent, and is an amazing teacher. You must take a class with her.

After taking a class with her, now I realize why everyone says to take a class with Jenny Boylan before you graduate. This class broke me down and built me back up again at the end. It was amazing. Jenny is an incredible and kind-hearted soul who truly cares for her students' well-being.

Jenny facilitates good discussion, which I thought was this class's primary strength. Personable professor who takes the time to get to know all her students. Only issue I had with class was the limited graded feedback - nice to know grades before end. Also Colby creative writing Dept. does not hold people accountable for deadlines - annoying.

Jenny is the best professor ever! She is hilarious and makes class so much fun. She is also inspiration and really encourages us to be ourselves in our writing. She does not insist that we use her methods for writing, but lets us explore different styles. She loves talking to us invidually and truly cares about her students.

I think Jenny's humanity is her strong point. I believe she cares what happens to those of us with less writing talent. I also beleive that when she makes a million dollars she will buy me a Cadillac.
