Comment:
The tests are definitely tricky, but he offers review sessions before each one. He gives plenty of extra credit opportunities and really wants all his students to succeed. He's pretty kooky at first, but he knows his stuff. Lectures can be hard to follow sometimes, as he just talks for 75 minutes. But he's so beyond nice and loves to tell stories.

Bob is a good guy. He's funny and likes to tell random stories. If you don't understand things, at the review session just ask and he will clarify it for you. The study guides are very complete, study them and you will ace the tests. I only read the books for definitions, probably could have googled.

Bob is, & probably will be, the most memorable professor during my time at Mizzou. His lectures get a little long-winded but he has some tremendous insight. He's also the sweetest old guy you'll ever meet. The exams are a little challenging but he provides a thorough study guide for each one. As long as you review those you're good. DON'T BUY BOOKS

John goes by "Bob" and he is the best professor at this school by far. He is laid back, relaxed and made sure no one was stressed out in his class. The books aren't necessary to buy when you can look up all you need to know about them online. If you need a humanities corse credit, take a class with Bob and you won't regret it.

The class was an easy A. However, during lecture no one could follow what he was saying. It was completely confusing and made no sense, but had review sessions where he almost literally gave you answers to the entire test. The class is easy, but don't take if if you actually want to learn.

By far the easiest class I have ever taken. Honestly, as much as I love Flanagan as a person, I feel like this class was a complete waste of time, even though it's an easy A. He spoon feeds you the information if you attend review sessions. After the first testbefore the 2nd, make sure you attend each lecturehave a friend take notes.

Bob is the nicest professor ever. He truly does care about his students. The class itself is boring at times, but he provides a study guide prior to each exam with all that you need to know and even allows you to use it on exams sometimes. He also gives "quizzes" -->(what is your name, what school is this) to help boost your grade. Great guy.

Bob truly cares about each and every one of his students. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He offers multiple extra credit opportunities because he wants his student to get A's and B's. Take this class if you need a humanities. He is awesome!

IT's impossible not to space out in this damn class. The lectures are ridiculously slow paced, and the quizzes and tests are comparatively hard. I'd recommend skipping the lectures altogether and just reading over the outline he provides carefully.

Bob is probably the best professor you will ever encounter. He's an extremely nice old man, and is seriously concerned with students' well-being. The readings are usually mandatory, but he tells you precisely what you need to know for the exams. You'll get to have class at Shakespeare's too!

I signed up for this class just to fill space, and I ended up LOVING it. (Now considering RS as a minor!) Bob is wonderful. He's funny, entertaining, and makes the course very thought-provoking and interesting. I've learned so much! Lots of reading, but he tells you exactly what you need to know for tests. Can't wait to take another of his classes!

He is a really nice guy but his tests were extremely difficult. The class average for the first exam was a 57. He gave a lot of extra credit opportunities to help boost the class average. The class itself is a lot of work. 5 textbooks and it can be sometimes difficult to pull out the information. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Bob is seriously the best. He loves upperclassmen who are able to hold an interesting discussion, so don't be afraid to speak. Make friends with those in your small group and it will make the class much more fun and interesting. He's a bit of a perv, but in the funniest way possible.

This has become my favorite class over the course of the semester. Not only is Professor Flanagan hilarious, but I've learned so much this semester. If you think you can get away without studying, that's not the case, but it's completely worth the effort. I'd recommend any class taught by Flanagan to anyone!

Bob is such a sweetheart. Participation is so crucial in your final grade. Don't be afraid to speak up, because he relies on that conversation to guide the class. He is very interesting and funny to listen to. His tests are all essay, and you MUST read the books in order to do well.
