If you take good notes you are not going to have any problem to pass this class. He asks more theoretical questions than math problem in the exam.Read the books and the notes that you have to donwload from the site. Going to class is a key to have an A.

he has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. hes really smart, and willing to help, if you make the effort to ask for it. i dont like stats but the class wasnt as lame as i thought it would be. i think hes cute too but i love nerds so maybe thats just me.

If you value your gpa you should definitely take someone else. There are 3 exams and he will provide you with notes, but he doesn't know how to teach at all... He does like to think he's funny, but his jokes are very corny. He's not worth the time or money you spend on the class.

Overall good instructor. Always prepared, dedicated, helpful, passionate about the subject & clearly wants to inspire students. VERY demanding workload, though probably a good thing in prepping students for grad school. Wording sometimes needlessly misleading on tests. Can be dry & quite rude perhaps even unknowingly (or not?). Otherwise likable.

One of the best professors at CSUN's psychology department. Take advantage of such a great resource. He's one of the only prof's that publishes in top rate journals. When I went on to a Ph.D program - his class was one of the few that really prepped me.

dr. holden is a bit challenging......but it is not impossible to pass the class....u need to study hard and i mean very hard for all test......make sure u ace the first one because the rest of the test are just harder to do.........the lab is an easy A...make sure u have a lab partner but hes not a monster.....just study for test and do ur homework

I have B.S and M.S in math with a gpa 4.0 in all my math classes now I am working in getting my M.A in PSY. I got A only because I did by own notes from the book plus other prof. web site notes. If you can teach your self this is the class for you. THIS IS RUDE TOO. This a hard class he make it more hard than it is.

Do not take his course if you value your gpa. His lectures are incomprehensible, his exams are even worse but he is available for help if you can understand him. If you are weak in math but wanting to learn the concepts, this is the professor to take! He is helpful and funny and always available during office hours if you need help. His tests are hard but he tells you exactly what to study. I feared I wouldn't even pass stats and I wound up getting an A-. Beyond all that, he's very nice to look at!

you use the book in his class all the time, you must read it and do all the homework. he gives 3 tests and he doesn't drop any. he knows alot about stats. but he just can't teach it. his test are all theory and 1 or 2 computation problems. i personally wouldn't recommend him. the tests are worth 70% of your grade and homework is worth 30%.

This professor is very hard.. You need to teach yourself using the book.. And you need to attend class otherwise you miss a lot.. I think this class is useful for those in the field.. But his tests are difficult... His lab is an easy A..
