I would tell you to take another professor but he's the only professor who teaches quantitative analysis 2. So good luck.... It's a very hard class and he does not try to make it easier.

His test are weighted VERY heavily in this class so if you do poorly on one, you basically fail the class. He is very nice and does give partial credit but the test are pretty difficult.

Comment:

Don't miss class and be active. Ask questions and stay engaged and it will be difficult NOT to pass his class. This was not an easy class for me, but I would say the ONLY reason I passed was because of how engaged I was for each class. Has to be one of my favorite professors in school simply because he saw and rewarded my effort.

Terrible professor. WAY too detailed. He tries to cram too much in one lecture. It takes him 45 mins to explain something you can learn in 5 on an outside website. He's also the ONLY Quant 2 professor. Buckle up and get ready. Impossible to understand because English is not his first language

His lectures at times are hard to understand b/c English is not his first language. However you will be better off going to youtube to search the things you don't understand. The first exam is the hardest!

There aren't many test but pay attention to the homework, online exercises, and the problems he do in class because the test is not all multiple choice there will be 4-6 problem questions at the end hat you actually have to work out. Class is easy just show up and pay attention. He does not give extra credit. You don't need the textbook.

Professor Ho is a very nice guy, but he's been teaching this course for a very long time. This means that he expects you to know what he knows, so when you go to ask him for questions he is NOT helpful. Although, he does give lots of extra points on the test. All i can say is go to the tutoring center and get all A's on the homework assignments.

Dr. Ho makes a hard boring subject and tries his best to make it interesting. He knows the material well and is willing to help. The class is hard but you can use a formula sheet for the test. Best advice is show up and study.

Dr Ho is a good teacher that explains everything in detail. He really wants you to learn the material in depth, so that makes it kind of difficult. But he lets you have a formula sheet front and back.

A great teacher, just a hard class. Everyone that says he's a bad teacher are just lazy. Important to attend class because his overheads are the best teacher of the class. Gives partial credit on the problem section of the tests and is very liberal. The answer won't even be close to right and he'll give you almost 75% credit for working it out.

This class is soooo hard. Dr. Ho knows that and he tries to make it as easy as he can for us. He WILL help you if you show him that you're trying. He gives homework and extra credit to give you a boost.

Ho is so hard to understand. His tests aren't too too bad but there are only 3 of them. His final is extremely hard. I had a B before it FAILED the final n pulled a C. He gives everyone a C. Even if you failed all his tests.

This is a HARD class. I should not have passed according to my test grades. Dr. Ho knows the material is hard and he is more than willing to help you outside of class. I got help with stuff and I think he saw my effort and gave me a passing grade. Just ask questions...

Nice guy, but material is difficult. He will work with students outside of class, but, be aware, he's been teaching the same class, with the same book, using the same examples, and the same homework problems, for quite some time. He therefore goes extremely fast; its nothing new to him. Be prepared to study A LOT outside of class.

Fantastic teacher, does a great job with the difficult subject matter- class is easy as long as you attend, gives lots of bonus so do the homework! three easy assignments. Don't go into this class expecting it to be easy and you will be fine.

The material is extremely difficult but Dr. Ho is wonderful. He is more than willing to meet with you and work one on one with you as much as you need. He really cares about his students and if they learn the material. Don't miss any class!

Hard to understand, will help outside of class. Doesn't grade on a curve (I know this because I had an 89 in the class and he wouldn't bump me up to an A)! Must attend everyday and hope you do well, most people take it over 2 or 3 times before they make a C.

I like Dr. Ho. He made the subject less intemidating. He gives pretty good lectures and notes. I didn't have to really use my book at all. Not very much HW. He is willing to help and has a nice attitude. You do have to study to make sure you understand. I do encourage class attendance. Only 3 tests, but u have to know the material.

Comment:

Dr. Ho is a great professor. He explains concepts well and gives plenty of examples. He allows a formula sheet for all tests except the final, in which case he gives the formulas needed on the test and it's not comprehensive. Overall, this was a great class, but you need to attend class and pay attention. It's college, so be prepared to do work.
