I took a PSYC class with her at C.U. Her mid-terms and exams very quite easy. Her lectures are boring but I LOVED that she tried to have discussions in a HUGE class (and often succeeded). I attended almost every class and studied from textbook the day before exam and still got a decent grade. She's also very helpful if you need additional help/info

A lot of people fine HR boring, but I found it very interesting. If you have any interest at all I would highly recommend taking 6310 with Kate. Very friendly person and very fair marker.

Bring your pillow to class, extremely boring classes! She basically reads off the slides and seems uncomfortable lecturing. There is a submission due every class which gets really time consuming and tedious.... marking is all over the place on these. Her larger assignments are easier to get higher marks on. Nice lady but get another prof if u can.

She's sooo nice! Kate is super cool and down to earth. If you ever have any trouble she is happy to help you out. Tests can be a little tricky, but nothing to worry about. Definetly reccommend.

I loved her! Speak up in her classes when she asks for feedback! Really enjoyed the course materials but her tests are challenging so know your stuff - most long answers are application based. I would get her again if I could for another course.

Class discussions used in evaluations.. so be there. Fairly interesting. Big paper in the course not difficult. Do the online example m/c to prepare for exams. Most of them online end up on the test. Tries hard, if you're having trouble, just pay her office a visit, she'll really try to help clear stuff up. Really nice prof!

Comment:

Very friendly and sweet person. Genuinely cares about her students and is always available if you need help. Tests are very fair; online quizzes help a lot! I always enjoyed her classes, lots of fun discussion, although the group work was TERRIBLE. Final project is interesting, but brutal if your group sucks. Like mine did. Ugh. Overall=Great prof!

Taking OB from Kate is a good idea. She is very knowledgeable, makes information easily accessible, and the course has a good grading scheme. Beware the final group project- she has very high expectations and grades harshly. Other than that, it's a great course.
