Comment:

I would never take Dr. Gade again. Dr. Gade makes easy content incredibly difficult and is not helpful when students ask her questions. She sent out emails to my entire class of 60+ students accusing us all of academic integrity. I would honestly advise anyone against her class. If you have any other options then don't take her class.

Comment:

Hands down worst professor Ive ever had. I did all of the required reading, took notes, watched lectures and still was unable to do well in this class. Her quizzes did not line up with material given and several lecture videos were taken from YouTube and not explained further by the professor. If you care about your GPA do not take her for Econ.

Every grade in the class is a quiz or exam with very tight time restrictions. Im have a 3.7 GPA and cannot keep up with the time. Dont take this professor if the class is online!

If you're thinking about taking Gade and classes are still online due to COVID - don't. I'm an A student and this is the first class I've had to drop. She gave us 45 minutes to take a very lengthy exam and I barely finished half of it. I emailed her and all she said was something like "sorry, econ classes are hard online! Keep working!" Just no.

I really enjoy being in class with professor Gade! She will not spoon feed you the answers to questions, but she will point you in the right direction! If you work hard and watch videos/do readings before class then you will be fine! Great Professor!!

Has the bursar automatically bill you a $100+ textbook. Makes class mandatory but tells you to read the book and watch videos at home, then teaches for 15 minutes in class and expects you to be able to work hard problems. Tests account for 80 percent of the grade while attendance is the other 20 percent. Do not take this professor.

Gade does not care to explain anything to anybody . Do not take Game Theory unless you want to drop it. This is a math heavy class and she will not stop or slow down to explain anything to you . FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES EVER

Clearly doesn't care about the success of her students. Is somehow super friendly to only the athletes in her class. Tests are very different from the study guides and teaches VERY quickly. If you ask her a question, she will make you feel badly for asking it in the first place. I've been told there are better professors from which to take Econ.

Amazing professor, obviously cares about what she is teaching. Makes lectures interesting even for those who don't usually like economics by comparing real world events that effect us to economics. Short homework due every week, fairly easy. If you pay attention in class, you should get a really good grade.

I dropped this class at the beginning of the semester because when anyone in the class asked her for help she would not help! She would just tell you to look at the information again or look at examples again. Well hello! We did look at the examples and we were still confused, which is why we asked for help!

This class was so hard for me it might not be hard for you though. ALWAYS read the book and watch the videos at the end study super hard and you will be fine. I did not like the way she taught so I practical taught myself so be ready to work hard. Sit at the front of the class she has small hand writing.

I have NEVER dropped a class in my college career at OSU before taking Micro Econ. Mary Gade teaches off a dry erase board and teaches fast. If you arnt a good test taker DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Theres lots of online quizzes along with a 6 page paper mid semester and you can only get 3 grades on the paper: 95, 75 or a 0. Do not take this class!!

I've NEVER dropped a class in college but with Gade I had no choice. When I didn't understand a topic we were talking about, I would ask her to further explain and she made me feel so dumb for not understanding. She always wrote chalk chicken-scratch at the board in the front of the class and no one ever knew what it said. Take Amos online, so easy

She is the worst professor I've had. She only cares about a select few of her students. I asked her for help on an in class assignment and she told me she wouldn't help. She brings politics into class, also. She writes super small on the whiteboard and I could never understand what she wrote.

I loved her class! Microeconomics is not an easy class no mater what professor you take, but she is really good at explaining the topics in a way students will understand. DON'T SKIP CLASS, she takes attendance quizzes when many students are gone. There's one homework a week, 3 or 4 tests total, and a six page paper that is graded pretty easy.

Honestly, there are so many better professors. Micro is a tough class no matter what, but taking it with Gade is not worth it. Her tests are nothing like the reviews and she doesn't use D2L at all. Have to go into her office hours if you want to get your grades back. She lectures way too fast. Also teaches chalkboard style. Expects WAY too much.

Dr. Gade is GREAT! I love her. She and I talk about running before class all the time. She does a phenomenal job explaining some of the tough topics and is willing to explain things further if need be. I had to study a lot for this class and attend every class in order to succeed but its not impossible!

Prof Gade is one of my favorite professors; her lectures are very interesting and thought provoking. However, her tests are really tough; I haven't made above a C yet. GO TO CLASS! she knows what students go to class and she'll help you out when you need it. theres aplia homework a couple times a week and doing it will really pull up your grade.
