I think he is often misrepresented... He does have an accent which can make the content hard to understand, and he is blunt in answering your questions... however, he really does care for his students and is a great person. Be mindful that there is a LOT of homework though through MyLab Pearson (if online)I wish this wasn't the case; it was hard.

Horrible Professor. He forces you to show up, but doesnt even teach. He rambles and skims through the chapters ridiculously fast. More than half the class had to teach themselves this course so there wasnt any point in showing up for lecture. Avoid him, hes a sadist and enjoys the suffering of the students.

Insanely difficult. Homework has 60+ questions, there are three exams and a final. Makes attendance mandatory even though youre literally teaching yourself. This is class is so hard do not take it. Hes a mean person, and expects you to know everything.

your basic math class, you really have to work for your grade. not the best class to take if you take a year off. talks fast, lots of material to cover. got a passing grade in overall homework but failed all the tests if that says something.

Prof. Khou is a very good teacher, but he teaches too fast. His accent is very thick, but I could still understand him (just wish he would slow down). He only lectures throughout the whole lesson with a VERY short break. Each homework has 40+ questions (sometimes 80), but even those questions can have 8 parts to them. There are 16 homeworks.

Do Not Take Him For Math If You Want To Pass!! Homework consisted of 200 questions or more. Tests were very hard. Highest grade in class for midterm 60%. Most of the questions that were on the test were hard and wernt on the practice test. He went over a whole chapter or two each class. Got mad when asked questions, didnt not exlpain when asked.

Math is my favorite subject. But this professor made it stressful, which math usually doesn't stress me out. He goes too fast and gets offended if you ask him questions. He'll give you study guides and homework that needs to be completed at the same time. He's passionate about math but he doesn't teach it very well. Overall, don't take his class.

Teaches to fast and gets annoyed when students ask questions. Exams are nothing like the study guides given. Definitely do not recommend taking his class. Only 20% of students remained at the end of the semester. Btw he has a very thick accent.

took him a few sem. ago, Im terrible at math and he made it worse i had to teach myself everything, was tutored by mulitple people, did the hours of HW he assigned each class, studied and still failed, i took the same class with a different prof. and got a B which has never happened for me. Remember, prof's make all the difference in your success

DO NOT TAKE HIM!! He goes through the material fast. HIS HOMEWORK IS ONLINE. Each problem worth 1 point, even if its long & has 10 "steps". VERY TIME CONSUMING HOMEWORK. More than any math class I have been in. Mainly because its online. When asking a question he is often annoyed or bewildered on how you, a student, doesn't know the answer.

he is not specific on what he is teaching he talks so fast jumps from board to board, unclear explanations, does not like answering your questions or concerns, he expects for you to know the answers to the problems, homework is very time consuming one problem has 7-10 questions for just one point, you have to teach yourself in order to pass

His accent is no prob. He lectures too fast & doesnt make it clear dont skip youll be behind. This is the base of math, it needs to be clear/ thorough, he seems to expect you to know it all already. HW is online & there is no way to check answers except guess until you get it right. His tests are hard, You basically teach yourself the material.

Took for 410 & 425 after being out of school for 10 yrs. He has a heavy accent but you can understand him. HW every week. After he passes graded tests back, goes thru & solves every problem to explain where you might have gone wrong. Question him and he explains. Gave XC at end of semester. Math is hard, it isnt his fault if you dont do well.

Took this dude for math-31 (plans trig) and it was the hardest class i have ever taken. I would call myself advanced in the math area, but this dude made things so hard. I am now in Calculus 2 and earned both A's in Calc1 and 2. I received a B in his class. The exams are so difficult and have nothing to do with what he shows during lecture. BAD!!!!

I don't get the negative reviews. He's really good. Yes he has an accent-but you can understand him. Yes he lectures the entire class-it is a Math class after all. The homework is online-the program is easy to use once you get going. We had a couple dingbats in our class who questioned everything-he always corrected/explained all. Gives X-C.

Show up on time to class and be prepared on taking a lot of notes. He is a tough professor. Just do all the homework, complete at least 90% of it. Show up to class, if you miss one day, just ask a friend to take notes for you. STUDY for the exams, which can be difficult. Try your best and you can pass the class.

Prof. Khou was tough. However he challenged you to do your very best. I really liked his teaching style and he graded you on showing your work not just having the right answer. As long as you try you'll pass.
