Comment:

Prof. Gilman is entertaining and EXTREMELY energetic for an evid. professor. I've heard others refer to evidence as a boring class. Gilman's evidence course is full of examples and film clips and polls of the class, so it's hard not to pay attention. But she does cold call so you have to be prepared- she can tell if you're not and doesn't like it.

Top-notch professor. She knows the material inside and out, and she keeps the class engaged. Despite the poster's opinion below, I thought she was excellent at fielding questions. Midterm and final were difficult, but fair.

Take McLain if you have a choice. She may be a harder teacher but you'll learn a lot more. The textbook we used was supposed to be "user friendly," which means it was written for people with an 8th grade reading comprehension, with lots of pictures that weren't very helpful. Professor Gilmann also isn't very good at fielding questions.
