A wonderful professor! The class is demanding and the lectures can be boring sometimes, yet Dr. Lacy makes you care about the subject. You must do the readings. Dr. Lacy is very easy to talk to and very understanding. All in all, a wonderful teacher.

Prof. Lacy is a great teacher! His lectures are boring and you really have to listen and get in to it in order to take anything away from them. The tests and the papers are near impossible... but if you put the time and effort in to it you can learn a lot from this class. DO NOT take it thinking it will be a piece of cake.

Professor Lacy is extremely knowledgeable and it is a real pleasure to take his classes. He makes studying Old French literature interesting and always manages to make students laugh. He is always available when you need help and is as concerned with your success as you are. I would strongly recommend taking a class with him!

if you're looking for an easy gen ed DO NOT take this class. the test are fill in the blank/essay and he grades too hard. lots of studying and reading, you need to memorize names that aren't very important and his lectures are some of the most boring i've ever heard, the nittany notes saved my life but it was still hard on the tests.

He obviously loves Arthurian Legend and that made me like it. I'm not sure every one in the class is as interested but if you put in the time this class is well worth it. I enjoy his sense of humor too!

Eminent, overqualified, with a joy in the medieval that you can't help sharing. His scholarship may be intimidating, but he's one of the most approachable professors I've had. Find a course he's teaching, take it, and get ready to laugh and learn.

This is the best professor I've ever had. He makes the material interesting even though it's very challenging, and he engages the students in ways lesser profs only dream of!! Awesome! Brillant!
