Dr. Eberle was my favorite professor I've had so far. For speeches, its wise to practice them multiple multiple multiple times because you don't get notecards which is difficult, but because of that, he grades very easily and is very understanding. What he teaches is extremely beneficial to helping public speaking.

Dr. Eberle is a really nice guy and an inspirational speaker. However, he doesn't allow notecards for speeches which can be kind of hard. As long as you're prepared, you should be fine. He's a very easy grader. As long as he sees you put in effort and are on the right track, you should get good grades on the speeches. Midterm and final super easy.

Warning: the way he teaches CST 110 is a little odd. While its hard to get a low score on the speeches, its near impossible to get above 90% on them. He doesnt really prepare you for the midterm & final either. And he never updates the grades section on D2L. First class I ever got less than in A/B in, and Im not sure what I couldve done to get an A

You only have three speeches, a mid term, and final exam. You don't get to use note cards for any speech, but he is a very easy grader. He really just wants you to try your best and become a better speaker. I highly recommend taking him. He does give you a list of topics you have to write your speech on, but they are easy.

Not a fan of Eberle. He doesn't seem to know how to use d2l or any of the technology in the room. He talks and doesn't repeat things. Overall, I am not fan of him and would not recommend

Dr. Eberle really likes to talk about his time in the military and even if your not into that stuff, his stories are super interesting and relates to the material. For the assigned speeches, he gives you a list of topics to choose from, which makes speaking a little tougher. He's a very easy grader and gives each individual great feedback. Take him

Get to know Dr. E, put in the effort in his class, and do not expect it to be a super easy A. As long as you improve as a speaker he will give you a good grade. He is a really nice old man and he's the smartest speech professor at UWL. Get to know him if you have the chance and just talk to him, he'll care about you and your grade more

Eberle is a interesting guy who really cares about you becoming a better public speaker by the end of the semester. It's a bummer that he gives you a list of topics to pick for speeches that relate to communication, but he's an easy grader and really just wants to you try your best. Be ready to participate in lectures and show up to them.

Dr. Eberle is by far my favorite professor here at UW-L! He truly cares about each of his students and believes everyone can do well. He pushes you to do your best, and my public speaking skills have improved greatly due to his teaching. If you want to become a better speaker for your future classes/career, I highly recommend taking him!

Professor E is really strict on how he wants your speeches to be laid out, he gives you a very structured format so they're pretty easy to write. He's big on feedback, and calls on random students to hear their thoughts. Don't let him see a notecard when giving a speech though, he ripped mine up. Overall he's a great professor and I learned a lot.

Eberle is strict in the way he wants speeches laid out, but that makes it easy to write them. He grades to your level not by comparing you to other students. Participation and attendance is mandatory. Overall, great guy who wants to teach you life skills. Despite hating public speaking, I still did well and learned a lot. Don't get notecards

Dr. E. is a great guy, very old fashioned but not a very tough grader as long as you do the assignments and speeches. He is very big on feedback so expect a lot. Tests are a little difficult, but come from text and lecture (you just don't always know about the text readings). He's a entertaining guy and worth taking. All of his classes are the same

Very clear on what he expects from you. Generously grades speeches and just wants to students to improve themselves. Participation is a must, but very easy to do in his class. Very professional and will teach you much more than how to give better speeches. Genuinely cares for his students. Midtermfinal only written test. Read the text and listen.

I was not looking forward to this class at all. You have a midterm, a final, 2 individual speeches and 1 group speech. He picks the topics for you and doesn't let you use notecards but I believe that I became a better public speaker because of it. I got A's on all my speeches even though they weren't that good. He teaches you valuable life skills.

Dr. Eberle rarely gives out A's. If you are a poor speaker, he goes easy on you. If you are a good speaker, he grades you harshly. If you're top in your class, most likely you will get an AB. However, he does teach you a lot of lifelong skills. I would recommend this course to anybody, even though it ruined my GPA.

If Dr. Eberle wasn't a veteran, I would say much worse things about him. He doesn't tell you about the readings that the final and midterm are based off of and gives you tons of pointless notes. Not to mention his speeches are on topics of his choosing so you can't even speak about anything interesting. Would never take him again.
